  1. BOOM! Typed on notepad so any spelling mistakes are fully intentional.

    Pillbox - Nerve Altar

ill start off by saying this is the kinda of music i generally hate.
I just find it really hard to find any redeeming qualities that i enjoy.
I can appreciate the skill required to play it, especially the drums, but musically i struggle to find anything that makes me not turn it off very quickly.
This album is a mix of 1 minute blast songs and other slower sludgey parts, mixed in with ambient noises. I'm assuming the guy has lyrics but i cant make a word out.
Generally to my ears its just a wall of noise, sorry this review is rubbish but i just cannot listen to that music and get any enjoyment out of it.

This Will Destroy You - Another Language

Within the first few seconds this is more enjoyable to listen to.
Lovely ambient music, very light and airy to start off with going into really heavy bits with lots of noise.
The ambient part of it is the highlight for me, some lovely melodies, and some beautiful guitar sounds, but for me it gets a bit lost in the really loud parts. it loses almost all melody and kinda becomes just a wall of noise, which i find a shame.
Im all for the heavy loud parts as the music needs it, but i still think it should retain some kind of song.
This is quite wonderful in places tho, the song War Prayer is probably my fav track. I love the melody of the ambient bit and the louder parts are still melodic and beautiful whilst being heavy and drive the song on.
My one criticism of these kinda drone shoegaze bands is i get a bit bored after a while, a few tracks here and there are great, but an album i struggle to fully focus on, it becomes a wee bit like back ground music for a while and then the loud parts grab your ears again.
Overall a lovely listen tho, as i dont listen to much shoegaze at all so a fine change.

    Shabazz Palaces - Lese Majesty

This opens with a more electronic feel to it, some cool vocals in the first track, not really sure what to make of it from the first few minutes so this could be an interesting listen...
Its also an 18 track album so im gonna be here for a while!
This reminds me slightly of Outkast. Hip hop music but done quite differently, very airy sounding with heaps of cool noises.
This guy obviously loves his delays, the entire thing just echos constantly, but i find it works mostly, it gives it that weird feel and sound. The vocal rythems are pretty cool as well, not just your standard ryhmes and rythems.
I dunno if this is something id listen too off my own back and i probably wont go back for many more listens, but certainly something cool to enjoy for an evening.

Overall id say easily that This Will Destroy you was my fav out of the three.

  2. Dont pick Barca what ever you do. Unless you win the league, your sacked. Nothing else will save you except winning the league every season, finish second 1 goal behind the winners and your sacked. Madness how they have set certain things up this year.

I released Michael Rose after a few seasons as he is hopeless. Pawlett comes to me to complain i let our best youngster leave. Rose was 21, no games at all for the club and since being released has retired as no one signed him. Makes no sense at all.

Kinda given up on FM for the moment, they have just messed up this years one too much for me. Too many unhappy players over stupid things. Im all for players wanting to leave, but i now have players demanding moves to clubs who are not even interested in them. Jack wanted to move to Everton as they played in a better league, then got annoyed when i wouldnt sell him to them, finally accepted two bids, one from Everton, the other from Sunderland in the championship, and he moved there instead! Left the CL, the best team in Scotland by far, SPFL is now 8th in the rankings and he demands to leave to play in a better league, only to move to a club in the championship, and they turn him into a centre back.....meh ill try again next year.

  3. You should be playing Logan and Taylor first few seasons, hugely consistant players despite their poorish ratings. Logan left me after 6 seasons as number one, only missed 3 league games in 6 seasons!

Goodwillie just never does enough. Rooney goes hot and cold quite a lot and the prick fell out with me before he was sold.

Flood is also worth keeping, although he loves a booking.

  4. Yeah i think he is done tbh. He hasnt looked the part for United, and he cannot get back near the Scottish first line up. Such a shame but it is what it is.

I can see him making the switch to coaching, he seems like that kinda guy.

  5. So whats been your top 5 moments of 2014 in terms of football?

    Mines would be

1 - Dons winning the league cup

2 - Gerrard saying "this doesnt slip" in the huddle before the Chelsea game

3 - Gerrard's slip during the Chelsea game

4 - The gif of the fat scouser saying "i cant believe it" during the Crystal Palace game.

    5 - That Korean girl.

  6. I thought it was a red last night, he looks for him, twice, before swinging the arm. Even if he just poked him in the eye, that can hurt and shock you if your not ready for it, hence a reason maybe why the guy looked like he was sniped. Stupid stupid thing to do in the first place, no need to swing the arm like that.

Ramsey's goal was as good as you will see, what a hit, with his weaker foot as well.

  7. Bale obviously is doing the business at Real, as is young Jack Harper in their youth team ;)

Gauld i dont think has played many games for Sporting as of yet, but they rate him really highly.

Big Eck is doing a good job managing Genk i think as well.

Two english guys are doing ok in Italy, although i think Cole has struggled at times.

  8. Im not too disimilar
