  1. We're delighted to announce that Palace of Swords are set to appear on the new Fruits de Mer album 'Head Music'.

I haven't heard the album in its entirety as yet, but it does look very promising. Here's the track-listing (running order to be confirmed):

    Dino (Harmonia) - Vert:x

    Nearby Shiras (Kalacakra) - Vibravoid

Schizo (Ash Ra Tempel) - Frobisher Neck

Waterfall (Jane) - Johnny Vines Experience

Paramechanical World (Amon Duul I) - Earthling Society

    Negativland (Neu!) - Temple Music

Bayreuth Return (Klaus Shultze) - Black Tempest

China (Electric Sandwich) - The Bevis Frond

Mushroom (Can) - Language of Light

Trans Europe Express (Kraftwerk) - Anla Courtis

Surrounded By The Stars (Amon Duul II) - Jay Tausig

Madrigal Meridian (Tangerine Dream) - Electric Moon

  2. Just a quick note to say that I've contributed an article on memorable gigs (many of which were in Aberdeen) to the new edition of Ice Cream for Quo Magazine, which is out now.

The magazine also features an exclusive piece by Bill Drummond, as well as features on The Monks and Kraftwerk.

It's only available in a physical format - i.e there is no online version. However, it can be ordered from here:

    Thanks

    Peter, Palace of Swords.

  3. I've just finished writing an article on memorable/important gigs that I've been to. One of the gigs I've mentioned is the Jesus and Mary Chain at the Venue 1986 - the one where they only played for 20 minutes or so. Does anyone know the exact date of this gig? I think it was probably April or May 1986. I have tried googling, but I can't find anything.

If anyone has a ticket stub they could scan and send that would be even better. (I know this is unlikely - wishful thinking!)

    Thanks.
