Download an app called Retroarch (if you have an Android phone or tablet). It's a little complicated to operate but it plays ROMs of virtually any console, and you can overlay a controller at the bottom of the screen for whatever console you're emulating. Like so.

You still have to download the ROMs which is illegal and therefore I definitely won't send you to a site which has free roms for almost every game on every retro console. But if you were to type in the words 'free' and 'roms' and then stick a dot com on the end, well who knows where you might end up?

I may have this for a few but haven't found Die Hard or Ape Escape 2 (purely for the best football mini game ever ever ever)

  2. Off the top of my head.

Football Manager (series, does that count?)

    Golden Eye

    Ocarina of Time

    Balders Gate

    Fallout 3

Special mention to the ape escape football mini game which I need back in my life, Road Rash, Modern Warefar 2 and Die Hard Trilogy (which I also need back in my life)

    I hate you.

Also the Odeon website tells me that I can just put my Unlimited card into the machine and it works the same, so Pet Hate negated. But my card hasn't arrived yet, so still a bit valid. The popcorn-munchers can eat my dick.

I have one for Cineworld. Forgot it once and they wouldn't let me in. Surely they can look me up on the system? The system which has my photo stored on it. Nope pay full price Sir. No fuck you i'm going to the pub.

It really gets on my tits that so many cinemas have combined their ticket and concessions stands, so if like me you don't want snacks or drinks (or you sneak your own in) and just want to pick up tickets you still have to join the queue behind all the popcorn-munchers. As the "menu" at cinemas increases so does the queuing time as the staff are filling up gallon cups of coke and pumping shit like fucking cheese and ketchup onto nachos and hot dogs. One of the ones near me even does chips. Fucking chips in a cinema! I get a special deal with my phone network, 2 tickets for €10 Sun-Thu, which considering one ticket is €13, is quite a saving. The only drawback is that you can't pre-book, and you can't use the ticket machines, you have to just buy at the counter, which means queuing and I've never stood for less than five minutes. I got pissed off with all the queuing, and I go once a week anyway so I bought me and my wife Unlimited cards, which is €46 a month for two (so actually costs a little bit more) to try and skip the queues, so I can book online then just pick up at the ticket machine. Nope, doesn't work, because the machines won't do anything unless you have the card you used to buy your tickets which I didn't do BECAUSE I HAVE A FUCKING UNLIMITED CARD. So to get my tickets printed I still have to queue behind the popcorn-munchers. Fuck Odeon and fuck the popcorn-munchers. Also fuck anyone who buys chips in a cinema.

Sounds like you have a...chip on your shoulder.

I bet I don't either, because I'm not trying that. I'm not convinced a food stuff I can't abide combined with a food stuff I can just about tolerate will make a food stuff that I think is good.

I'm alright with peanut butter with jam, but it helps that I am all about jam. The jam makes it work.

A boy at my work (a Newcastle supporter) was unhappy with the £30m Sissoko transfer. His reasoning is that since it was completed on transfer deadline day, Newcastle can't invest the money into the squad.

Can kind of understand his frustration with it but i think most supporters will be ecstatic, it's not like the Andy Carroll deadline day. There is a lot of trust in Rafa and he stood firm over this one and as Murr said we got a great deal. We have enough in the squad to see us until January then we should have a bit of money to play with if needed then.

£30m for Stroppy Sissoko is very pleasing, I'm not gonna lie.

Fuck him. Great business. HIs alledged treatment of Everton sums him up.

Think Spurs fans will be happy with quotes like these:

"Arsenal have always been the club of my heart"
    (Jan 2015)

"Arsenal is one of the best European teams. To be watched by that sort of club, that proves that you are a quality player. It is good to know. I hope that I will have the chance, soon, to play for this club."
    (June 2016)

My oldest loon bought some sort of box for £99 that legally gets free, all that he used to get and more from a £90 + per month Sky package. He raves about it.

If it is Codi it might come in a cool little box but it aint legal.

I'm currently working in a used bookshop here in Poland and keep discovering great things about some of our regular customers. There's one auld guy who comes in quite frequently and is very sweet. He has a walker/zimmer frame thing and needs a little help opening our mega heavy door. Whilst discussing our favourite regulars the other week, I mentioned him to my manager and she said, "Oh, you met David? He's so great. He was the voice of Magneto in the animated X-Men series..."
Apparently once he was asked about this and he, being an old fella who just saw it as a job and had no outside interest in it, told our boss, "Yeah, I think I played Mr Magnets or something..."

Then just this evening, I found out that Guillermo del Toro regularly comes into the shop. I wouldn't recognise him if he came in, so I'm now hoping that if I have ever unwittingly served him, I was charming as fuck and he'll write me into one of his films.

Which one of the Polands is this shop located in. It sounds awesome.

What a plum, but pretty much the sort of entitlement I'm talking about. I just can't be doing with that sort of mentality. The sort that want the moon on a stick because they're a consumer, so the world must revolve around them.

Shit happens, everything suffers from downtime once in a while, get a grip.

I used to work with a girl at the Council, the most insufferable, immoral person I've probably ever met. Just a total shithouse of a person with the most enormous sense of entitlement I've ever seen in someone. She was once on a bus to work, and the bus had a minor scrape with a car in front. According to the girl's less shittier sister, it was a bumper to bumper at low speed. A total nothing situation. The girl claimed she was 'traumatised' and pissed and moaned at First bus for weeks and weeks, threatening to take them to court. After so much pissing and moaning, First bus finally caved and gave her a 6 month free pass. She came in to work the next day boasting about it. She had a bizarre show of pride in her complaining, and was fairly open to admitting that she had bullshitted it to get a freebie out of First. It was like a hobby and an investment for her, to just take what she could get.

She also wrangled a Council house in a similar manner, whinging about domestic issues from living with her parents, which were total bullshit - again, by her own admission.  An able-bodied young girl earning £20k p/a jumping the council house queue, of which she was pleased as punch about, feeling no immoral wrong-doing by taking an opportunity away from someone who probably needs it infinitely more than she does, All because she didn't want to pay private rent prices.

Sometimes you just hope that life blows up in someones face. A good sacking should probably do her some good, and give her a sense of responsibility. Just cause too, because she was fucking atrocious at everything.

Is this the same one you have mentioned before who doesn't work when at work, coasts through the day. Was off on the sick but also on holiday whilst she was doing this? It's time like this I have to believe in karma.

I highly recommend the HBO mini-series "Show Me a Hero". It being written by David Simon of The Wire fame was enough for myself and the missus to give this a shot.

I second this. Also for fans of The Boss, his music features quite heavily.
