Since the release of 'Will It Be My Curse' on Lockjaw Records in spring 2009 the band has been on the road as much as possible. Throughout 2010, Fights and Fires spent a total of 2 months on tour in mainland Europe alone. Combined with several UK tours, 2010 was an extremely hectic year for the band. Keeping DIY at their heart and having a good time is what keeps the band going. In 2011, Fights and Fires toured the UK, EU and Ireland. Pretty excited for this. I listened to them when I was a young teen when they released fakesoundofprogress and it's ridiculous it's taken me this long to go see them!

Their energetic live performances are emphasized by various dynamics that excite and involve the audience and they have succeeded in creating their own sound that is instantly recognisable to any listener or follower. The Winter Tradition have used the combination of many artists from different backgrounds and traditions to create a blend of music that they could listen to and enjoy themselves. Support comes from Aberdeen locals Duke, Daydream Frenzy and Joy Riot.

I was reading on a Facebook post they made that when touring the States with Between The Buried & Me, venues are taking a cut of the money they make off of their merch. In some places the cut is quite high too. I find that absolutely shocking and I'm pretty sure it just does not happen in the UK. How can a venue expect to take a cut off of merch they haven't even paid for? That must be dicking them over pretty bad. I really hope their UK stint is a lot better. I know they will be treated with a lot more respect by promoters and venues, that's for sure.
