We are an enthusiastic group of experienced musicians playing soul + funk classics, and a couple of up-tempo blues numbers. Hey all! We are an enthusiastic group of experienced musicians playing soul + funk classics, and a couple of up-tempo blues numbers. We have 2 female vocalists and a 6-man band made up of guitar, bass, keys, alto sax, cornet, and drums. We have played a couple of small gigs at the Forum and Cellar 35, and are now looking to play more! You can hear some demo tracks here, but please be aware that they were recorded live during practise sessions so the sound quality is not top-notch. Hi Laura, I'm part of Soul Situation, a fairly young band playing soul and funk covers, a selection of popular classics from both genres, including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, James Brown etc. We have 2 female singers and a 6-man backing band; we're looking for gigs so if you're interested we'd be up for playing any dates you still have free...you can hear a couple of demos here, although they aren't great sound quality right now...I will upload some better tracks in the next couple of days.
