A few months ago i posted a few demos on here to get some help in terms of making the songs my band had planned on recording, And thanks to the YMI and a lovely man named Nick Turner at Watercolour Music, We have recorded them!

Unfortunately we haven't got them mastered yet, but I've put the new recordings on soundcloud and would love to hear what you guys think!

i have a hartke 4x8, but thats only 4 ohms

and i have a marshall 4x12, thats the 4/8 ohms

Damn. i'm going into a studio to do some recording, and i'm hoping to borrow a Park JTM45, which is 16 ohms, and the only cab i has is 4/8 ohms.....

is there any sort of.... magic box you could plug the head into, and then the cab into, that drops the ohm down?

basically, if anyone could explain in a very simple way if i can or cant run an amp head into a cab with a different ohm rating?

if i can, what will it effect? sound? volume?

if not, why not? will it ruin or damage the amp or cab in anyway?

sold the amp, chucking the rest on ebay

i started learning guitar from a few of my mates, the would just show me a few chords and i'd strum away on their guitars, about a year later my dad gave me his mexican fender strat and mosrite bass, still own both of them, strat is probably my main guitar and my dad got drunk one night and went pete townsend on the bass, the neck is in about 3 pieces and everything else was just taken apart

how does the blowtorch sound with a guitar?

fantastic guitar made by Eastwood guitars, was 400 new, inverness music shop is selling a second hand one for 250 so i'll let it go for that, is in immaculate condition, gigged once and very well looked after

i'm still not 100% sure about selling this, as i adore this guitar, but have -500 in the bank and being unemployed really sucks, so i'll see if theres anyone willing to buy!

Im also in the market for a valve marshall, anything paul doesnt want fire my way

update;

first of all i'm looking for a whole bunch of pedals;

A loop pedal, something like a Boss RC20, JM4, Akai headrush

A standard cry baby or other wah pedals (nothing too pricey)

Tremolo pedal of any sort

A polyphonic octave pedal

A Reverb pedal, prefereably Boss Rv-3 or 5

A simple 2 - 3 knob chorus pedal

An EHX big muff, either russian or english muff'n

and a Boss compressor/sustainer

also would really like an Ebow if anyone has one of them kicking about!

and now the stuff im trying to get rid of;
