Recently came into the possession of an old RE-201! Extremely cool reverb and lots of lovely noises.

Only issue is, I know these things can self-oscillate, and mine won't. Not even with everything on full.

Does anyone know anyone, anywhere in the UK that services/repairs these boxes?

I've a vintage all valve Conchord amp I'm looking to shift if you're interested?

After a bit more fiddling. The input seems to have dies too.

Seems to me and my un-professional opinion. That the fader is bad? If it was the input I would be able to play back tracks recorded on channel 3 from a different input?

Today I was given a fostex DMT 8VL multitrack recorder.

I got it home about 2 hours ago and have been getting to grips with it, and everything functions beautifully except the 3rd channel. The input records fine, and there is audio when monitoring the channel. But when in mixing mode there seems to be no audio. I played about for a bit to see if I had jut made a mistake. I discovered there is some audio, but it is only there when all volumes are maxed out! And even then it is only very faint!

Does anyone here know what's going on?

Has anyone else come across something like this?

And is it possible to fix?

After losing our bassist we've not really done anything in about 3 months. But now we're back!

And I'd really like to hear what folk think of the new sounds, All recorded in my living room with a cheapo interface so nothing is too high quality, but its more about the songs than the sounds!

reinstall seems to be working fine!

I actually emailed ableton to ask if there was anyway i could buy the older version for my computer, they were useless, just said "even though we dont recommend it, the latest version will work on your computer"

glad the folk on aberdeen-music are still helpful!
