  1. Ha yes I meant The lot in one go:) well actually they are set up where my band practises. They were bought new literally 2-3 months ago and as well only rehears once a week they are still like new. If you google the various cymbals I've listed it will come up with them on google. Also they have sound files on their website. So as I say they are as new.

Let me know what you think:)

  2. As I said in my previous post I have some other gear I'm wanting to shift. Having a clear out so will update as I go. For the moment I have the following:

24inch Hardcase cymbal case on wheels

    Premier drum cases

Dream cymbals set up. I have some new Zildjian's coming from the US soon so when they arrive I'll be selling my Dream cymbals as a set. They are great cymbals and are handmade. Google them to see more on their website or YouTube. The set up consists of the following:

    13inch Bliss Hi Hats

    10inch contact splash

    19inch bliss crash ride

    22inch vintage ride

    12inch china

    No doubt more to follow.

  3. I'm selling my 6 peice special edition Pearl Masters. It comes in a nice Red Sparlke Finnish which was not a catalog Finnish and hence being a special edition run. Its 4ply maple shells with 4ply rings. Sizes are 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 22. All fully cased in protection racket cases and has been well looked after. Get in touch for pics and if you have any more questions etc. It's the exact same kit that's in my profile pic.

    Open to offers.

  4. If you have the time and or inclination you should try walking in and making a proposal to the bars who put on cover bands or have a room that they hire for events or to promoters... Blue Lamp, Malt Mill etc etc...

Its too easy to ignore emails it shows a level of commitment when you show up in person...

Good idea but as you say it's finding the time lol

  5. I have to say that as I also own a Roland kit, however good it is, they still sound "fake". Best solution is to maybe look into soundproofing but I don't know the area you want to make into a studio so it might not work etc. In my old house when growing up, we turned the attick into a studio and that worked really well. Mind you it was a detached house and everyone had double glazed windows lol!

  6. Hi Drummerboy,

Feel free to come in for a blether and we'll see what we can do for you. As for drum gear, we don't currently have much in the way of it, but it's definitely something we're looking into - we've got a whole middle section to our store opening very soon, to which we're adding electric pianos, woodwind and brass instruments and possibly even some drum and percussion gear. Have a Butcher's at our website in the meantime ( www.iimusicshops.com ) - I did stick in onto my previous post, but I mis-spelled (or is it mis-spelt?) it (D'oh!).

Yes I will come in on the weekend. In terms of drum gear you should defiantly stock some. Even if it's the basics like sticks and skins to start that would be cool as people always need those:) Then maybe add snare drums etc as they don't take up much space shop floor wise.

    Will see you soon!

  7. Evening chaps,

I'm just posting on behalf of the musical instuments shop that I work for ( ii music ) to offer our support to such a weekly Blues/Rock night. We're still very new to the area, but we're keen to support the local music scene by giving a helping hand to events like this. We might, for example, also be able to help promote it for you (i.e. produce flyers, posters, advertising on our website etc.) There might even be the possibility of the odd in-store performance here at our store in the Academy - we deliberately had a small stage built in our shop to encourage local musicians to play in-store from time to time. If you're interested in any of this, feel free to contact us at the store or via our website ( www.iimusicstops.com ),

Also, with regards to venues - what about the likes of Ma Cameron's?

    Thanks for your support

I must admit I have not been down to the store yet but as a drummer im not sure you would have many shiny drum like things to play with but its good your supporting it. I know Jamie who used to work in Bruce Millers works there right? Might pop in with Dino (my former partner in crime in the Son Henry Band) to have a look soon and see what you guys can do for promoting this (posters etc)
