did you not buy it for 750?

I agree with this guy sorry to say. These kits go for 600-700 new with hardware so i don't reckon you will get that for it second hand mate! If you want my advise try selling it on ebay thats the best way. You could probally get 500 if your lucky. Ive sold lots of stuff over the years and the one thing ive leanred is that drums, unless special edition etc, have a high depresiation on them - my Special Edition Pearl Masters set-up in my pic with all the stands and cymbals etc cost over 7000 new a few years ago - i would be lucky to get 3000 for it now.

    Hope this helps.

Im into and can play most music. Rock, Pop, Jazz, Latin, Funk. Just on here to try and get involved with something musical over the summer. Hopfully get a band together in order to play gigs around Aberdeen/Scotland etc. Get in touch if your interested. Im into lots of music really - at the moment im listening to alot of Porcupine Tree (my new fav band and gavin Harrison is a god!!) and Joe Satrani. But im into everything except maybe country and folk etc. But i really need good musicains who can play their instriment as ive been playing since i was 5 and im not a beginer lol. Benn tought by some of the best - Steve White and Gregg Bisonett. Get in touch if your interested in starting something.

  4. I assume the "boring", "straight rock drummers" on the list that we're talking about are John Bonham and Ian Paice, and perhaps Steve White? Whether they're boring or not is a a matter of opinion, but UNINFLUENTIAL? Bonzo is probably responsible for more drummers starting to play the drums than any other player in history.

Personally, I find Dave Weckl the most soporific drummer on the planet......great player, but his music is all about him smelling his own farts. Musically incontinent pish.

And while I'm on my high-horse, you don't have to be a jazz player to have great technique.....Ian Paice's is as good as anybody's.

I have to agree with this guy (Hugh-lazz).

at the end of the day you can have all the chops and rudaments in the book and be the biggest show off in thw world but it won't get you gigs and 99% of the time you won't even use it! Ringo starr is often said to be a "crap" drummer - what a load of rubbish!! first of all he was in teh most sucsessful band of all the time - the Beatles!! secondly if you listen to any Beatles song the drums are perfect for the song and thats the main point! it gets your feet tapping at the end of the day. and ringo, along with probally a very small colection of drummers like John Bonham and Buddy, has probally got more people to pick up a pair of sticks than most drummers in history! a great drummer plays for the music and then, at the right time and place, can come out of his/her shell and show off a bit. drummers like i mentioned, Bonzo, Paice, Steve White etc, can all do this. I went on a drum course with Steve White a few years back and he tought that you played for the music first, then for yourself second and drummers everywhere should remeber that.
