tonight peeps! support on 8pm, Emeli approx 9pm.

Thanks to everyone who came down last night - place was heavin!
In case anyone was wondering 'the guys' playing with Kuda are A'Zi Cool - two DJs and a French MC. We've been playing for over a year now, and on our way have supported Dan le Sac and Ugly Duckling. We hooked up with Kuda in January - more tracks like last night's set up on the site soon!
Moon Unit were weird but really good - the drummer (a really sound guy) totally brought the sound together.
Impressed with Copy Haho - not my usual audio choice but some really catchy hooks and an excellent vibe to the sound.

This is tomorrow folks!
Well looking forward to this one!

Well looking forward to this. We (A'Zi Cool) got together with Kuda at the start of the year and have been working solidly on new tracks ever since - check the MySpace for the first (almost) completed effort, called 'Whut Up?!'. There's also a track we did with local rappers Shy & DRS and two we recorded in a sweaty, smelly living room last summer.

For those who've yet to hear/see us we are two turntablist DJs (one awesome, one just learning) and a French MC - Kuda's been on board adding his old skool flow since January. Last year we supported Dan le Sac at The Lemon Tree (with a slightly different line up) and Ugly Duckling at The Tunnels.
Quite different from the other bands playing, but sure you'll dig it!

I would've gone to the Unthanks,........but I still haven't forgiven them for cancelling the last gig so they could appear on 'Later'. The 'biz' winning upset me.
The Man did win again, but you can hardly blame them!

Excellent gig this Friday at The Lemon Tree.
We also have an exciting contemporary production of Hamlet in the Studio Monday to Wednesday this week. Click here for further details and to book tickets.

I always thought the 'booking fee' was taking account of the costs associated with booking on-line, then you get your postage on top. If you decide to pay at the door you are taking the chance that you may not get in but there is no 'booking' element so the price should be what is on the ticket alone to my mind. The costs of paying whoever needs to be paid should surely be taken account of by setting the ticket costs in the first place?
Booking fee at door really pisses me off. As does having to pay a 'booking fee' to buy at the counter in One Up. It's not a 'booking fee'.
The booking fee is the ticket seller's cut and has proven a vital lifeline for independent ticket sellers up and down the country.
And the cost of staffing is taking into account when setting the ticket price.... by having a booking fee.
-
I am an idiot and still haven't got round to buying a ticket. Looks like it'll be tomorrow. Does anyone know if One Up will still be selling them then/what time they might do so until?
Tickets only on sale through Aberdeen Box Office, 01224 641122:
THE LEMON TREE LOUNGE : Productions : Errors
or in person at HMT, MH and LT.

Cheers. Just bought 5 tickets for this.
you star.
-
So will that still be 8.50 + bf on door (same as advance prices) or will it be more expensive?
8.50 + 10% booking fee charged on the door - our ticket prices seldom if ever change for those paying on the door.
-
Also, are there any age restrictions to this show? 14+ I'm presuming?
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Those aged between 16 and 18 must not approach the bar - there is a dry bar at the back of the venue serving tins of Bru, etc, if they get thirsty.
-
Does the Lemon Tree still charge a "booking fee" for tickets bought on the door?
An oft-misleading term, the 'booking fee' is what pays for all aspects of the Aberdeen box office, including the person who sits there and sells tickets on the night. I know it seems a bit daft but yes, the fee is still charged on the night.
-
Fantastic local singer well worth catching before she's everywhere.
-
Do Lemon Tree still give you student discount on doors?
Unfortunately promoter didn't authorise a discount for this one . We do always try to offer one but it's not always possible.
And to respond to earlier threads yes, there will be tickets on the door.
-
Wish this snow would bugger off...
Hoping to get to this tonight, should be quite good.
Tougher the journey, better the gig!
Those who brave the elements are in for a real treat - a wonderful guitarist with a voice to suit.
-
I remember the last time Errors played at Cab Vol in Edinburgh, I was desperate to see them however was feeling the sting of travel and ticket costs. My solution was to cycle from Aberdeen to Edinburgh in order to catch the gig, the result was two days of cycling, a night camped in a park in Dundee, and being utterly knackered for the gig. Still worth it!
Can't wait for this one, Errors gigs are always a blast.
You absolute legend!

Yeah this Friday......I hadn't forgot Who's the support?
He's opted not go with support this time, instead doing a solo set followed by a set with his band. Does this count as supporting himself?!
Really good chance to catch two sides of an artist.

This was THE highlight at last year's Homegrown - Glasgow International Jazz Festival. Expect a night of sublime big band jazz standards and original compositions from the superb Ryan Quigley.
