  1. It'd have been more useful if the villainous Red Texter PM'd our hero, The WIld Idol, and communicated any problem he had that way instead of allowing the mostly good citizens of Aberdeenmusica being privvy to what is probably gonna turn into anther War of the Flame.

  2. Never been on a plane, or even stepped foot in an airport, so dunno if I'm scared of flying. Neither has my Dad. One of my goals in life is to buy my parents a holiday, mostly so my Dad can say he's been on a plane. I guess the main reason is that I come from a working class background and my parents used spare money to make the family home really, really comfortable. I don't hold it against them, I've never been without clothes, a bed or what have you, although I do feel like I've missed out slightly. We did go on family holidays though and I've see a lot of Scotland, which I am extremely grateful for. I think it's important to know the country you live in as well as visit other places. I'm more than old enough to travel myself now, but just not had the money to do so.

  3. The track with Busta on BoBS is one of my all time favourites. Been meaning to check out more Mos stuff but never got round to it.

Think Abdominal might be my favourite rapper now, taking over from MF Doom and all his various guises. Abs work with Format is great, but his solo record really bounces too.

  4. Fern Cotton.

I didn't think it was possible to have so much ill feeling toward a person I've never met, but she boils my piss like no other. The wee shop that I go to for rowies, pints of milk etc. always have Radio 1 on and I tend to be in when her show is on. Her voice sends me into a rage, she is completely opinion-less and it bothers me that someone like that is spouting her drivel over the airwaves.

Good wee shoppie though, staff are really nice.

  5. That is a fair point and I think the tone of my post seemed harsher than I intended. It's just I had been speaking to various people who said Birmingham only won because Arsenal played poorly and it was annoying me. That was certainly a contributing factor, but it sort of belittles the effort Birmingham put in. Great game to watch as a neutral and it was nice to see an 'unfashionable' team win, as well as Alex claim his first English trophy.

That's the great thing about cup finals. Any team can win it on their day, regardless of league position, big name players or whatever.

  6. As a tutor Turnitin is very helpful. Also, unless your tutor is a harsh bastard then as long as you've got either a hard copy or a turnitin copy in by the deadline you should be fine. You just can't get your essay back until the tutor's seen it on turnitin.

I've had to fail a couple that cut and paste stuff from those stupid 'writeyouressayforyou?.com' style websites. I don't know why folk bother anymore.

I can totally see how helpful it is for a tutor, but for a student it can be incredibly frustrating. It's like anything with computers though, sometimes it'll work wonderfully, other times it'll operate like a proverbial fucktard.

The folk that copy and paste their essays should be booted from the course, no questions. I go to uni to learn, not act like a stupid prick and those sort of people are another pet hate.

  7. I think Arsenal might collapse as well. They should get right royally cunted against Barca then even if they beat Orient in the cup they have to negotiate a tricky tie at Old Trafford. Wenger's job is safe though but it must be a worry for him, that his young studs cannot win a trophy even when it's handed to them on a plate. I'm annoyed though, those odds of 11/2 on a Birmingham win looked pretty tasty.

And fair play to the BBC's mr dull Alan Shearer for predicting a Birmingham victory!

Incredibly disrespectful to Birmingham. They may be performing poorly in the league and ranked as underdogs in the final, but they were the better team on the day. Birmingham played some really good football and stuck to their game plan, well worthy of the victory.
