my pet hate is my neighbour, who likes to park in exactly the same spot on our street every day, but hasn't grasped the fact that it's not actually HER parking spot, and went off on one yesterday morning cause i was parked there. boo hoo. it's my block of flats too, and it's a public street, suck it up!

no, where i'm going with this is that you're being overly sensitive. no one aimed anything at you, and to be honest some of your chat i've seen on here has been grim and i am far from easily offended, but i haven't thrown my toys out of the pram about it because this is JUST A MESSAGE BOARD. if you're that easily upset about anyone even mentioning cancer in the passing maybe you should reconsider frequenting this website. or any other forum.

where do you stop with this mentality though? one of my parents has an alcohol problem, does that mean i should pull up anyone who talks about getting drunk cause it hurts my feelings? not that it does, cause you know, this is just an internet message board and not really the most serious of businesses.

no one was laughing at your situation though, were they? stop going on and on about how hard done by you feel. you've said some pretty horrible stuff on here too, so it's rather hypocritical of you to try and take the moral high ground.

when i was booking my test the place that seemed to have the shortest waiting times was actually inverurie, or the new test centre in altens. both of which were about a month til the first available slot. this was about 2 months ago now. cancellations are fairly easy to come by though so if you're ready quickly then just keep checking online at every opportunity. if you want contact details for an instructor who i recommend highly, pm me. i also have the latest official theory revision cd rom/hazard perception cd that you can have if you want it. hope you get there, its a great feeling.

i looked into these, but they were expensive and the pass rate wasn't very good. i think the semi intensive ones (over 2 weeks or so) are a bit better, but still hard going. i ended up taking just over 2 months to learn, and i passed 2 weeks ago. if you havent done it already, get your theory test out of the way. the waiting times for practical tests in aberdeen are quite long too, i know balgownie road is about 7 weeks or something. so you might be about as well to learn more gradually if you have to wait ages for a test!

never said i was unlucky. the thread is about things that are bugging you. and it's bugging me that i didn't pass my test before now so i could go get it when it arrived. no need to be a prick, really.

but i want to go get it. like now.

the horrible, horrible number 19 "service" was one of the things that really pushed me to learn. so on a related note, my pet hate today is that my car arrived in aberdeen yesterday but i still haven't passed my test so i can't go get it. the thought of it sitting around in the garage of a showroom unloved is breaking my heart.

yeah. he is. i hate how his show is plugged constantly through the day on northsound one. today, and i think yesterday too (all the days merge into one when i'm listening to that fucking crap) it was his HILARIOUS jibe about cracking down on people not paying their tv license, midsomer murders, god whatever, so unfunny. as if i don't have enough to put up with, having to listen to the same 4 songs all bastard day on northsound one at work without greigsy clogging up my ears with his shite banter.

it really depends on the office. i also worked in st nics as a temp, wont say which department like, but it was horrible. weren't even allowed to ask the person next to you how they were or did they have a good weekend without being shouted at to shut up and get on with your work. i now work in a different department and it's really good- easy going people and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

yeah, my instructor is the same. calm as you like. unlike my dad when i'm out with him in a dual control learner car, who gets angry at anyone being impatient with me and proceeds to hang out of the passenger window shouting at them that they're all the wankers under the sun, giving them various hand gestures etc, this carries on not only until i'm away from the junction/lights but until they are out of sight. driving with my dad is mint.

i don't think it's illegal to put the clutch down and rev. but i'm pretty sure if you did it on your test they wouldn't approve! i'm a learner driver and i hate anyone who gets pissy with me on the roads and cuts me up in anger at me sticking to the speed limit or beeps their horn at me if they feel i've not moved off at a junction quickly enough etc. i don't care if it is a slight inconvenience to you that i'm not so quick as a more experienced driver, you were a learner once too, you prick. learn some manners. also hate going down the beach at the weekend. last time i did some excellent parent's child let go of their balloon, so he ran into the road to catch it, dragging said kid behind him. right in front of my car. yeah. cheers.

this would have been around about 2002/2003, and as i recall the ruffians (the shop mob, for anyone who is from portlethen and fancies some nostalgia!) from my year/the year above at portlethen academy yanked toilets and sinks off the walls, beat some people up for being "goths", sprayed fire extinguisher foam everywhere and ruined everyones night. they might be a bit reluctant to allow gigs there again, although, it was a long time ago. they might do it if you could offer a deposit upfront or something. or if you promise to have a big bulky scary guy at the door sifting out any potential trouble.

the 19 is better. last night me and my boyfriend were sat next to some cool cool guys talking about how many guys they "battered" at the same time and one of them how he got hit in the head with knuckledusters last night. and all on the rush hour bus home from work! one of them was coming home from b+q, there's no way the others had jobs.
