I am 17. I play Guitar to a reasonable level, sing to a reasonable level, and can write lyrics and songs to a good standard. I can pick up instruments quickly. I want to form an amazing band. One that makes music we generally enjoy and in time can put on great live shows. Its all I want to do, is becoming a credible succesful musician in a credible succesful band. Looking for a good bassist, drummer, and maybe second guitarist(multi instrumentalists and those willing to share vocal duties are more than welcome) who have an immense passion for music, and an undying commitment. Age isnt too important, though preferably between 15-20ish. Commitment to shows and practices is the most important thing. I'd prefer to have someone who also has creative input as well as being good at their instuments. I'm hoping to have around 4 or so practices a week in my garage in the west end of aberdeen. You'd have to be able to make at least 3 a week on average, obvs with some exceptions now and again. Influences are varied, from Idlewild, Biffy Clyro, The Xcerts to Louis Armstrong, Dr Dre, Silverchair, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan, Arab Strap... It would obviously be necessary that we liked each other as well I know this is a long and exhaustive list, but if we do work hard at it we can be a success, im sure.. Two piece alt-rock band are seeking to recruit a competent drummer and bassist to write original material. The band is hugely ambitious, and between the two current members-Craig on vocals and rhythym guitar and Grant on lead guitar-we take in a gigantic range of influences, from Chopin, Saint-Saens and Debussy through Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, to modern day bands such as Broken Social Scene, Rumble Strips, Idlewild, Biffy Clyro, X-certs... We are looking to build up a large back catologue of material of great songs before playing gigs, and are really looking to hopefully get signed at some point. Both approaching 17 years old, keen to waste no time, practice around 3 times a week at my garage just off Queens road. Taping Hands to Faces Hey. We are currently looking for a competent drummer (and bassist) to form a band. We were Lovers Spit but are reforming as Taping Hands to Faces, an alt-rock band with a gargantuan range of influences. So far the only two members are me (Craig-vocals and rhythm guitar) and Grant (lead guitar) and have gotten a small fanbase through two man acoustic folk gigs. we do want to take the step in a rockier direction, as that constitues a lot of the music we listen to. We are both still at school and are soon to be 17. We would prefer at least 2 0r 3 practices weekly, probably in my converted garage. Aspire to write a lot of material, before performing. Really nailing the songs before making them public.
