i would actually love that urban cowboy guy to like, try something on me, just so i could catch him and repetedly bash him smug fucking face again the curb till all his teeth were cracked and/or missing and he bled out.

and the presenter is so fucking unfunny and has such a nasal voice.

    god

    i hate them all.

cept the militant black guy. i dont want to be tarred with the racist brush.

  2. And I thing that guitar's in some sort of open tuning - the calling card of the non-guitarist.

    .

    off topic but

what a load of shit. seriously. a load of shit.

    Robert Johnson

    Jimmy Page

    Keith Richards

    Sonic Youth

    John Squire

    JONI MITCHELL

    JIMI HENDRIX

    Michael Chapman

    ...me

Everyone on that list is a non-guitarist yeah?

  3. Im in a band

We need to spruce up our myspace page. Anyone able to help us?

We also need a web banner designed

This is primarily because people that like us dont come from Aberdeen but other places acros Britain so we want to be more accesible on the Net

Probably wouldn't be able to pay much if any. Maybe a backhander of like 20-30 but we're really looking for people to do this because theyre interested in web design, making a cool banner and band page.

    make contact on

  4. Maybe you should only have something imprinted on you for life if its really important to you, and it strikes you as something you want on yer skin.

As opposed to going out looking to find something you want on you.

Not trying to be a dick, thats just my personal opinion.

  5. It's called "All I Want To Do Is Have Sex"

    Do listen, learn, love.

    Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Also the first line of the third chorus "I will beat your love out of my chest" is a quote from an anonymous poet that I found on the inside of a toilet. The line, not the poet. But the rest is ours.

  6. In a moderately experienced band.

We're reforming, looking for a new sound.

We practice a lot and write/gig a lot. Looking to start practicing after Mayish.

Big aspirations, though it really is all about enjoying the music we write. We also plan to go on tour.

Influences include Idlewild, X-Certs, Arab Strap, Bright Eyes, Taking Back Sunday, Maccabees

We're 16 and 17 respectively. One plays drums, the other plays guitar/banjo and sings.

    Commitment is a must.

Message me through here or on fist_of_light@hotmail.co.uk

  7. yes. but unfortunately all the songs on there are quite old and arent played anymore, but we are hitting the studio soon

yeah. thanks for the comments, we were very nervous on the night cos we've been big fans of tempercalm for a fewyears so it was just a tad nerve wracking, but the two shows we played within that week went much better, but thats the way it goes.

  8. -

I agree with the whole romantic aspect of it

I collect vinyl. Yeah it is unnecessary and much less accesable than say what hadouken did wth the whole memory card thing, but the artwork and things, the size and feel of the vinyl etc

i know hat sounds stupid. but thats what i enjoy doing, or i didn until my mum recently sold 90% of it.

  9. I think it's about time people stopped glibly referring to "the scene" in aberdeen.

What you're really talking about is the rock/alt-rock/indierock/punk/metal/callitwhatyouwillitinvolvesguitars "scene". There's a lot more going on in this city and it's frankly quite insulting when people like you lump it all together and insist kids like the xcerts represent "the scene" and deserve praise.

I absolutely disapprove of the xcerts, the music they make and what they stand for, they are naive kids play-acting childish fantasies and represent everything I hate about just mainstream music. Who the hell are you to say they represent "the scene", represent aberdeen, or deserve praise for what they are doing? Who the hell do you think you are calling me an idiot because I said I didn't like their video?

its the purposefully antagonistic way you phrase things, not your actual opinion.

no relevance to anything commenting on them being spotty or whatever.
