Also, even when just watching tv i used to just strum on the guitar real fast(Or slow,whatever)...even just one note. you would be amazed how fast your speed and accuracy improves. learnt it in a scott ian practice thing, helped me lots.

That's how I learned, i'm totally self taught (with the help of magazines of course) But there will come a stage when you should think about getting a teacher, at least for afew lessons to pick up tricks you may not learn from any magazine.

21/yo (lead) guitarist looking form/join a metal band!

Been playing for around 6 years have plenty of band and live experience. I have just recently moved up to Aberdeen from Glasgow, so unfortunately had to leave my previous band. Living on King Street, and i'm dedicated and dying to get a band!

Influences are quite wide and varied including Lamb Of God, Metallica, Children of Bodom, Faith No More, Arch Enemy, 3 Inches Of Blood, Soulfly, Still Remains, Rhapsody, Anthrax, Exodus, Machine Head, Dark Tranquility, Type 0 Negative, In Flames, Pearl Jam, Pantera, Turbonegro, Limp Bizkit, Johnny Cash, Bad Manners, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, Rancid, Dream Theater, Incubus and Chimaira but to name some.
