  1. Fair comment, I am only saying what I've seen for the last 10 / 15 years or so and I cant agree more about "incompetent" managers, but they cant do anymore than play them together can they? whoever is running the side, that is what managers have done for the last 10 years or so, to little or no avail. There's not many sides with 2 "world class" midfielders that fail perennially, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure how much "better" international teams worry about tactics, or what position there better players play in, within reason of course.

  2. I don't hate Liverpool, id like to see them successful again. Like I said it works most of the time for Liverpool, sometimes not, but internationally I think he's always been average, if not garbage, only my opinion, possibly due to the fact he's mostly been surrounded by average or less that average players. Bitter haha!

Lampard single handedly carried Chelsea? did we watch the same team? I would've scored 15/20 in the title winning sides! haha! That was a top class side wasn't it? Im sure Drogba, Cech and Makalele would have something to say about that.

I don't know either of them from adam, Lampard seemed a decent sort of bloke on that James Cordon quiz show?? doesn't detract from the fact he's bollocks for England.

  3. Oh yeah, that reminds meI saw Iggy at TitP one year as well, that was cool. He invited loads of folk from the audience onto the stage that day too. Shiny purple trousers, nae tap.

Iggy pop is one of those people who makes everyone look and feel a bit shit isnt he? 60 and still jumping around like Bruce Lee, you can see 15 year olds in the crowd "wince" as if to say, "bit lively in't he?"....whislt he dry humps a marshall stack.

  4. Fairly close to the original line up of Iggy and the Stooges, a few times actually, this would include Iggy inviting the majority of Great Britain up onto the stage with them.

I saw Pantera too, a lot of folks round my way were proper jealous of that, i always thought they were pretty meh, until i saw them live and they literally blew the place apart. Pixies, 3 times.

Blind Melon ( who? ) yeh, they were pretty good......300 hundred years ago.

Someone mentioned Yourcodenameis:milo, one of the best live bands ive ever seen.

I saw Winnebago Deal years a few years back and it was fucking insanely good, partly because someone in the "pit" ( are they still called that? ) had a pink Nazi helmet........ (.huh huh....helmet ) ........on, with the spike in the middle and everything. Happy with that.

  5.

I hate the writing process though.

Some people say that writing songs is the fun part, I don't agree.  I enjoy coming up with new ideas and have loads of them but then when it shifts into the act of moulding and shaping those ideas, crowbarring them and hammering them together to form a cohesive whole... well it's worth it to get to the end but I never feel comfortable in this stage. It's endured, a necessary step to get the good feeling at the end when I fall in love with all again.

I agree with this, only, I really love the writing process............when its going well, which unfortunately isn't a lot of the time. I was listening to an interview with Wino and he was basically saying writing and being in a band is a total pain in the arse 90% of the time, but its worth it for the 10% when it IS going well? I think theres an element of truth to that with the vast majority of bands, although theres  obviously a difference with "full time" bands and ones that play the Tunnels 5 times a year.

On the main subject, I love playing music, I think id be happy playing anything from Black metal to pop If it was decent. I've been playing guitar with Deadloss Superstar for the last 12 months or so and can honestly say its the first time ive been 100% stress free and 100% enjoying it..........feels a bit weird, I mean that in the best possible way, in that.........there is NO stress and stuff still gets done.

Its my main hobby, always has been. Im kinda easy with what it brings, Tuesday jams and the odd gig is great! Cant help but wonder what its like to pile everything in a van and go around the country or something. Bit old for that now though!

  6. Plus Belladrum is a bit of a "family festival" isn't it, well it is when ive been anway.

To my eye its always going to suit that kind of band more than a young Death Metal band from Elgin, even though there is obviously bands playing originals.

I don't imagine the Dangleberry's headlining Reading or Leeds or any cover bands for that matter ( except a KISS cover band, which are always immense. )

  7. Its like he based his whole image on the clothes stalls at some Euro festival, walking through them "baked" thinking......"hmmmmmmmm whats adequetely shit here then???" The Zebra pyjamas he was wearing onstage a while back were fooking pricelss,  guys got skillz though.

  8. Regarding the moderation here, it's pretty permissive and you all get away with way more than you would in a lot of places, you spoilt bastards.  Sit the fuck down and appreciate what you have here because there's only so much pissing and moaning that people will take from you ungrateful maggots when they're giving their spare time to this place, mopping up your potty mouthed shit whilst picking the roadkill spam out of the treads of the wheels.

A forum needs rules.  Rules for conduct, to maintain a pleasant environment in which to interact and to prevent alienating potential new users with cliquey in-jokes and "who the fuck are you?" attitudes.  Rules for organisation, so people can find things.  Sorry if you disagree with the structure, but in the same way as there's fuck all you can do about the location of the Music Hall, there's fuck all you can do about the forum structure.  Deal with it.  If you don't like the rules, think you're somehow superior to everyone else and that the rules somehow don't apply to you because you're so fucking special then go off and be special somewhere else.  I would much prefer it if you left quietly instead of having a diva strop, throwing toys out of the cot and calling the place for everything.  Either way you want to do it, you won't be missed, so why waste the time and effort?

If I typed that tirade into any number of online fora I would likely get banned and the post deleted before any of you could retort just for the sweary words.  Not here - I am confident that this post will remain, unedited, for you all to read and digest or dismiss as you see fit.

I've been here quite a long time, but I've kept my head down and contributed sparingly but I hope occasionally with quality.  I'm not perfect - I can be sarcastic and occasionally I've been downright rude.  I've sometimes apologised for it but sorry to anyone I've been horrible to here because I really ought to know better having spent many of my formative years in the firing line.  You should have a care how you conduct yourselves on here.  There are people who post on here that I would not like to meet in real life, based upon what they post here because I do not subscribe to the "get over it, it's just the Internet" mentality.  It's all communication, the medium is irrelevant.  Do some of your own editing and have a think before you spout utter shit on here.  Then there might be less moderation required, hence negating the accusations of overbearing, overzealous moderation BECAUSE THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY FUCKING NEED FOR IT!

neg rep'd this by accident sorry.

  9. Anyone got any experience with E-Cigs?

I was thinking of getting one of those vapour ones to try it out but I don't really know what I'm looking for. There's some many different types, and all the oils and shit. I've heard they can be kind of rough on the throat as well. Did it help keep you off the smokes?

Nicarette gums man, took me 2 go's but they worked!! 3 years without one. ( gloat )

  10. Gareth Bale will leave before the window meaning AVB will struggle to attract decent players because they want to play with Bale, not play for Spurs.  Even that Saldado guy the other day was a bit concerned that he wouldn't be getting to play with Bale, and he hadn't even signed for them.

Even though they've got 100 mill to play with?
