Yeah, I like it lots! Haven't listened enough to say whether I prefer it over Passed Me By, but great all the same. Yourself?

Snafu times:
Min Diesel - 19:30
Carson Wells - 20:30
Katerwaul - 21:30
I'd bear in mind that these times were allocated to allow for 45 min sets.
CW won't be playing for that long.
Edit: Kirk, an email was sent round with various times on it - The Little Kicks are due to go on at 10:30.

I spoke to Richard about this last week - vinyl should be ready to go within the next four weeks.
It needed three test presses and the artwork needed tweaking = whole world of bother.

Check out a band called Dianogah.
I really like their 'Battle Champions' album.

Is the DJ Krush 'Meiso' the 2xLP album, or the 12" single?
I'll take it if it's the album, and these please:
DJ Krush 'Kakusei'
Mr. Dibbs - 'The 30th Song'

Attempting to read all of Jon Ronson's books before seeing him at the Book Festival in Edinburgh at the end of the month. Have read Clubbed Class and am halfway through 'Them', so I've still four more (I think) to go, but he's so easy to read. Great writer.
I read 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' and thought it was mince.
Recently finished 'Love In The Time of Cholera' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Pretty good.
Currently re-reading 'Moby Dick'. Great stuff.

Right now I'm really enjoying
Andy Stott - Passed Me By
(The Bass!!!)I really like this album.

Count me in.

Currently on The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck. I havent read it before despite really enjoying a few of his others. I can see why this is considered his best. Enjoying every word.
One of my favourites.

What sort of recording setup does Ross from Pensioner have? (hint, hint)
The tracks were actually done at Robin Sutherland's new studio just outside Dundee. Ross has worked alongside Robin on various things and sometimes uses the studio for wee things like our tracks, or the upcoming Bonehouse stuff.
The studio is great and Ross is a super guy. If you're needing contact details, Jan, he posts on here as 'toiletbag'. If that doesn't work fire me a message on Facebook.
Thanks to all that have listened so far, it is really appreciated.

I'll be at Joan of Arc next Monday. Should be free most other times though.
-
I'm up for games at the Sports Village again.
Should be good for most nights.
-
David, did you check out the Jon Porras (chap from Barn Owl) album on Root Strata, "Undercurrent"? If you haven't already, I think you'd like it.
That new Jefre Cantu-Ledesma 12" is incredible too.

Yup, he's great. Probably prefer the second album, 'Yesterday and Today', but only because I got it first.
Kompakt are a label I keep meaning to really investigate but never get round to it. Heard great things about most of the stuff they've put out.
-
Sent you an email, Richard.

Had a wad of stuff to do last night so couldn't watch this at the normal time, but I tape all the "True Stories" stuff anyway. Will definitely watch this before the end of the week.
Seems to have been one of the more talked about ones they've put one (just from the thread on here and pals on facebook - I don't normally notice much discussion on them, etc.).
-
I pre-ordered too many of these and have ended up with two.
Still wrapped.

My copy of that 12" came today. I'm excited to give it a proper listen.
There's been talk online of a quick re-press so folk aren't paying eBay prices. Would be good if that happened because it's worked in the past for other releases.

Aye, as a companion piece it seems spot on.
Boomkat currently have his demos/early stuff on a CD comp in their sale, in-case you're interested:

I've enjoyed quite a bit of what Modern Love have put out this year - you should check out the Miles - 'Facets' 12" (one of the guys from Demdike Stare). Ordered this yesterday - http://boomkat.com/vinyl/462137-g-h-ground-ep. Will see what it's like when it arrives, but expecting more good stuff.
