Kinda a blend of aphex twin and Brian eno. Tasty ambient beats with soft pads behind them and some of the most reverb-y and delayed guitars. All the songs almost blend into one huge piece. Really interesting. It's got awesome artwork too!

You should check out the stuff he does under his own name (Rafael Anton Irissari). More neo-classical/piano-based.

I probably prefer The Sight Below overall. Physical copies of his releases are frustratingly expensive (or were last time I checked). And the vinyl pressings of 'Glider' were hella pricey. :(

  2. 'Micro-Jazzmaster’ 21-fret guitar, believed to made by Teisco - £60.

I bought this a few years ago as a project guitar to modify, but have found myself with very little time and next to no expertise to do so. Sadly, it must go.

At the moment, only the neck pick-up works and it could do with a new set of tuning pegs.

Comes with unique bridge (which can make it sound permanently ‘palm-muted’/surf guitar-y) and three “microphone” buttons (1, 2, 1+2), as well as a “solo/rhythm” option. These operate like the phrasing options found on Jaguars/Jazzmasters.

There is a space for a tremolo arm, but the guitar didn’t come with one when I bought it.

An inscription on the back plate suggests it once belonged to the John Monaco School of Guitars in New York.

Message me on here or email me - ross_mclayAThotmail.co.uk - if interested.

Happy to chuck in a strap and bag too.

  3. Heavy Duty Pedal Flight Case for sale - £80.

    Measures 18 inches/47cm long, 26 inches/66cm wide, 5 1/2 inches/14cm deep (with lid closed).

    Actual pedal floor space = 17 inches/43cm long, 24 inches/62cm wide.

Some wear and tear on the corners, a scrape on the bottom and a few scuffs on the front. Nothing major. The inside is in mint condition.

Built for me locally in 2005. Never had any trouble with it and no parts have ever been replaced. Heavy duty handle, corners, etc. This thing is built to last!

Happy to drop it off within Aberdeen area, or can arrange postage/courier too.

Message me on here or email me: ross_mclayAThotmail.co.uk.

    Thanks!

  5. After a year and a half, nine songs, two recording sessions and a mountain of emails, it is with great pleasure that we can put our first album online.

This record would not exist without the hard work and patience of the following people: Ross “Bob Rock” Middlemiss, Andy Hemming, Carl Saff, Chaz Hewitt, Kyle McPartlin, Andy MacKenzie, Dan Ton., Ewan Cameron, Dany Guest, and Beth Alexander.

    To them: our sincerest thanks.

A huge thank you also goes out to those who have put us on, played with us, or listened.

Everything should go off to the pressing plant this week or next, and a 12” LP will be available to buy in September for a modest sum from ourselves and the following labels:

    Art For Blind

    Black Lake

Cross Your Heart and Hope To DIY

    Eat A Book

    Thank you for listening. CW.

  7. I HATE that. Best what? Are you saying there was a competition to find the best and the winners are listed below on a list that conveniently only contains your name?! PRICKS!

Ross from Carson Wells can help himself to a visit to the All You Can Eat Dick Buffet.

Pretty sure it's just short for "All the best".

    Best,

    Ross
