I've been going to the Holdburn dentist for about 20 years, and the guy who treated me over the years was amazing, although now recently retired. I've a new dentist to replace him - a younger model, if you like!

Not really much point in telling you that, but och well.

Regarding tooth extractions, are they painful? I've not had any teeth out since I was about 10 but I have the feeling that one of my 'back ones' needs to come out as it's pretty much destroyed. Actually it's not really the pain that would bother me, it's the blood. I'm nae so good around blood

Many Jehovah's Witnesses sincerely believe that it is a gross sin to accept a blood transfusion, since the Bible states that we must "abstain from blood." (Acts 15:29) It is quite understandable that many are confused by the position taken by the Watchtower Society (WTS) with respect to the various blood components or blood products like albumin, (Erythropoietins), vaccines, immunoglobulins, and hemophiliac treatments. It does not seem possible to explain why it is a violation of God's law to accept plasma, platelets, red and white cells when all of the fractions of these are permitted by the WTS. These contradictions have caused a number of elders and Hospital Liaison Committee Members to quietly resign.

That basically says to me "it's all bollocks".

Religion should have no part in deciding who lives and who dies.

Can anyone explain 'in a nutshell' why they are against things like blood transfusions? I'm not too big on religion, and thankfully so. It's all bollocks IMO. But I just can't see why anyone would be against saving anothers life.

They always seem to make the trailers for the next episode look really good, or interesting (exept for a few) and when the episode airs, it's hardly anything like I expected. As it stands right now, I have NO idea how the series finale is going to end.

I was out in Madrid earlier in the week and was lucky enough to view the Spanish Cillit Bang advert. Barry Scott does not feature and is instead replaced by a spanish counter-part. It is also spelt the same way but pronounced as follows 'cill-ah bong".
