  1. Can't say he's better than Tannehill over 1.5 games!

Tannehill has the Fins (less talented offense) at 5-4 and has a QBR about 90.

Jay Cutler is playing awful right now but he's still a top 15 QB in the league.  The Bears have just self destructed, anyone starting a franchise right now would pick up Jay over the Sanchize.

I think Derek Carr will be a better QB but right now I'm not so sure, again though, there is not much talent on that Raiders team.

I'll rephrase... if you were to take every QB ever to play in the NFL, he'd be in the top half.

It would be amazing if we could actually get that list, I don't think he would be.  He's been to two AFL champ games, but never because of him.  That's when the Jets could play defence and run the ball.

  2. I'll rephrase... he's adequate. Although, right now, as in compared with the rest of the active QBs in the league, i'd say he's above average. If you listed all current starting QBs i'd place him in the top half, maybe just.

That's quite an interesting question there...

    Carson Palmer
    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco
    Jay Cutler
    Andy Dalton
    Brian Hoyer
    Tony Romo
    Peyton Manning
    Matthew Stafford
    Aaron Rodgers
    Andrew Luck
    Alex Smith
    Tom Brady
    Drew Brees
    Eli Manning
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Philip Rivers
    Colin Kaepernick
    Russell Wilson
    Cam Newton
    Ryan Tannehill
    Robert Griffin III

There not in order of who's the best, just above better than Sanchez, below are worse.

    Discuss.
  3. When all is said and done... Sanchez is an above average QB when he has pocket protection and big targets. He looked supremely confident that first half and was connecting nicely. I wish him all the best.

I agree up to the above average.  He's very average.  That eagles team has a lot of talent on the offense and a pretty good Oline.  I think the Sanchize is in a tier below the likes of Alex Smith.

  4. 4th quarter fumble could well end up costing us the playoffs. OUCH!

Another 3 sacks for Dareus though, what a season he's having.  He's not getting much press because he's in buffalo but I think that's 10 sacks he's got already.  For a DT that's pretty exceptional.

  5. If Bogut can stay healthy is the key for them.  I don't think he's made it through a whole season in like 5 years, he can be a beast when he's healthy.

Cousins is a monster, he's just a great player.  I'm not on the Rudy Gay bandwagon, he's a good player but when they gave him a max contract I was like WAT.  It's weird he is a career 20 point, 5 rebound guy but I dunno, he just never seems to consistently take over games and out right win them.  If the team is already doing well, he does well from what I can see.

  6. It's only a big deal because it's the Lakers.  They've been competitive for the title for like 15 years or something.

It's a little what it'll be like in the NFL when the Pats finally have to move on from the Brady era.  Media will go nuts if they start 0-4 or something.

  7. Conley and Randolph are likely to be underrated the whole season. I'm not sure they'll last the distance but who knows.

Any love for Toronto? If they can get going again, and build on last year, could be exciting times up there again.

Anthony Davis MVP? He's been a monster so far.

I'm hoping for my fantasy teams sake (and for the league) that Andrew Wiggins can live up to his potential this year. Started slow but last game against the Nets he looked handy.

In Nets news, DWill looks back to pre-nets form, KG looks actually arsed, Brook Lopez is back and Bojan Bogdanovich looks like a fantastic acquisition... could be a good season for us. Decent playoff run I think.

Gasol is in a contract year, he will be the carry on that team.  He looks about a stone lighter, beast mode.

Nah, prob 3/4 seed.  Won't make conference finals.

Not sure on Davis, eventually all the team USA summers will wear him down and I don't think Pelicans have enough around him.  No mid tier team wins MVP.

Wiggins will be a beast if he continues to develop but he's a two year project minimum.  Twolves get another high draft pick this year and look stronger next year.  Wolves came out of the Love trade way better, especially as Lebron in Cleveland officially is only for two years.  If they don't win at least 1 ring he wont stay.  Where as Wolves got possibly two young studs.

Nets are in with Toronto I think, good team (especially in the East) but can't win the conference.

I think Dallas could have a pretty good season this year.  Dirk staying there for cheap shows how much he loves the franchise and I think they rally with him.

  8. I wouldn't write off OKC as they just need to make the playoffs and they can go all the way.  Doesn't matter if they are the #8 seed or the #1 seed.

Don't fancy the Clippers again, I dunno what it is about that team but for having two hugely athletic bigs they don't seem to play good defence.

East is Cavs or the Bulls.  Too much talent in Cleveland now for them not to make it to the finals, especially with the Pacers having a year off with no George.  Fancy the Cavs to get it together and LeBron to carry them over the Bulls.  Especially when DRose gets injured.

Spurs win the West over the Warriors.

Finals Spurs win again, Pop will out coach the Cavs.

My dark horse is Memphis to make some noise in the West Playoffs (I wish we had done this before they started 5-0, they're still a dark horse dammit!).

  9. Who got Bosh in your league, I bet he slipped a bit.  Steal this season.  It's going to be Toronto numbers from him as soon as the Miami bigs aren't broken.

  10. Lebron getting some criticism so far this season.

He just doesn't seem to understand the defensive scheme going on in Cleveland.  Someone on reddit called him a potato rolling around the court and it's caught on there.

Good example from the other night, it's not just that he doesn't know where to go it's like he can't be hooped.

He's still Lebron though, I mean he's going to put up points and stuff but he hasn't looked himself so far in going back.

  11. These in London? You think they want a franchise in London? Am I totally missing something?

Sorry yeah.  Goodell really seems to want a franchise in London.  Testing how demand would be for a real season 3 games in 5 weeks.

A real home season would only have 8 home games plus playoffs, so they are almost half way there.

He's also said if you want a Superbowl you have to be willing to give up a home game to London.

  12. Three more games next year with the two on consecutive weekends.  They are testing it out for a franchise more than ever now.

    Jets @ Dolphins

    Bills @ Jags

    Lions @ Chiefs

Pretty surprised the Chiefs are giving up a home game at Arrowhead.  Guess they are pushing for a Superbowl in the next few years...

  13. Ugh time for Roman to go for us.  His play calling is awful.

It's not all his fault, the OLine is woeful this year but his redzone play calling is awful and is costing us games.

  14. Just wanted to say how much I love Jon Gruden's commentary. First time I've seen him do a whole game (on holiday so MNF was on a good time).

    He's just great.
