  1. It is pretty dirty like! but doesnt have to be too dirty, pay a wee bit of money and camp in the tangerine fields bit, tent, mattress, sleeping bag all there for you when you arrive! also toilets which are just for that bit, so much cleaner! we did it last year and was soo great not carrying a tent etc! this year im not even gonna carry my beer, booked to pick it up when i get there! and its cold! quality!

oh and DOVES have now been confirmed

    What he said.

We are doing the tangerine fields at TitP and did so at Connect last year and it fairly lightens the load. Pre-booking booze as well essentially means just carrying in a bag of clothes...good times. But aye, TitP can be full of dirty minks but I can put up with that prospect to see Blur, Doves and Elbow.

  2. Jeff Buckley always did some superb covers. There's the obvious one (which I won't raise as it may reprise an old thread) but I enjoyed his version of I Know It's Over by The Smiths. The legacy edition of Live at Sin-E had some crackers as well.

And Radiohead's version of Nobody Does It Better. Nothing out the ordinary by any stretch of the imagination but I thought it sounded shit hot particularly when Ed O'Brien's guitar kicks into about half way through.

  3. Yeah, they were fucking quality.

I think me and Greg went over the top getting them to sign their CD for us though.:O:O The things you do when you mix copius amounts of Stella and Leffe. X)X)

The lads were quality though and chucked in a couple of badges for free as well.

Can't believe Bobo made me pay for your CD!! X( Still it is pretty damn good so I am glad I did. :music:

When is that other gig of yours again?

You spent money thus helping the economy, good lad. Aye, but it was a bit much getting your CD signed!

Next gig for our rabble will be on the 30th May.

  4. After deciding last year's TitP would be my last, I got a ticket for this year (a combination of Blur headlining and Connect being cancelled). Hoping to get to Leeds to see Radiohead as well.

Plans afoot for a trip to Coachella or SxSW next year. Note to self: start saving some cash!

  5. Toilet attendants.

I'm not normally the type that goes to these "style bars" (my own phrase) and whenever I return with old school friends or people that way inclined, I forget how much I resent having to pay for someone to pass me a wee white paper towl to dry my beautiful hands, and then spray some smelly shit in my face.

FUCK OFF, YOU CUNT, YOU'RE GETTING NO MONEY FROM ME BECAUSE YOUR JOB IS ALMOST LITERALLY A JOKE.

Like, if i go to one of these establishments I will literally wait until my group of friends want to leave and then take a leak in the street. I'm against doing that, but it seems more acceptable than having to pay (at the bare minimum) a pound for someone to pass you a tissue.

    GET A REAL JOB, PERSON.

    Clown shoes.

I was on a stagger on Friday which at one point took in the Star and Garter. I go to the toilet and there was an attendant! A fucking bog troll...in the fucking Star and Garter!!! There was no pristine towels handed out, just some kitchen roll with an Asda bag as a rubbish bin. Didn't check out the aftershave but pretty sure Hai Karate was on offer.

Could have been a random punter trying to make a cheeky coin mind you!

  6. Somewhat amusingly, I was told that there was a protest about the protest.

    Can anyone confirm this?

Not sure about yesterday but there was something similar happened at Steve Paterson's last game. A supporters group tried to organise a mass walkout five minutes before the end of the game but only a handfull of people got up to leave and got a fair amount of abuse thrown at them when they were leaving the ground.

  7. Those bluetooth hands free ear pieces.

I understand their functionality when you're driving (although they still annoy me then) but folk who wear them when they are out and about need a boot up the arse. I walked past a bloke on the way to work this morning who had one in and he looked a right fanny.

They are not a fashion accessory and unless you're Uhura from Star Trek...take it out!

  8. I would have liked to see Riordan get called up, he's been doing well and has scored more goals than Clarkson and Fletcher this season.

Plus there would be no danger of him breaking curfew and drinking as he's not allowed in any fucking pubs.

Someone mentioned Paul Le Guen as well, didn't he state there was a drinking culture among the players at Rangers and were often turning up hungover? Maybe he had a point.

  9. I have no figures at hand but i would be very surprised if Aberdeen's operating costs and debt levels were better than United's. It would be fairly close though i'd wager.

And for the other guy, turnover is not the same as profit really and you didn't make that much from the UEFA cup run i'm sure.

Didn't realise you were meaning in terms of profit, even then not sure Utd fair better than the Dons. Probably both shite to be honest! Pricewaterhousecooper do the annual SPL reports, would imagine they'll publish them on their website.

  10. United make more money each year and have done for a few years actually.

I thought the Dons made far more than Utd? Not sure of exact figures but in terms of turnover I was actually surprised at how little Dundee United actually made. Pretty sure the Dons exceeded a turnover of 10 million last year due to the UEFA Cup run.

  11. I like the Glove for munch, altho they have taken the massive portions of nachos off the menu :(

Think they still do them but as a starter with a "go large" option. I've had them a couple of times recently and they are well fine! They're still alive and kicking unless they changed the menu recently.
