Pretty much what unbroken said. Having played guitar you'll obviously find the bass easy to pick up and play but concentrate on being part of a rhythm section. Paying more attention to, and getting a tight rhythm with the drums (bass drum in particular) is a good start. From there, play what sounds good to you, be it just holding down root notes or finding something more melodic - all depends on the songs you want to play and what suits the bands you play in I guess.

We did three new songs - Express, W.Y.N. and Shattered Hearts - and re-recorded parts of two old ones - The Traveller and An Unseen Truth. They are not quite the finished versions but aren't too far off it and will make up an E.P. when we get off our arses and get everything completed.
Anyway, have a listen and let us know what you think.

Any idea what the curfew would be?
Not sure, I saw them at Meadowbank Stadium a few years ago and they were off by about 10pm I think as it is in a residential area. Nae sure about what it will be for next week though.

Anyone heard anything on who might be supporting Radiohead in Glasgow next week?
Bat For Lashes have been confirmed but doors are opening about 4pm so surely will be quite a few bands playing on the day.

We played our heat on Monday at Liquid Rooms. May or may not be pre-determined but just a case of playing as well as possible and giving yourself a chance. If the judges like you then I'm sure there is every chance of going through.
Was superb to play though and we were really happy with how we played. I hope those who were watching thought I was pulling rock faces at the end rather than getting sweat in my eyes and wincing in pain. May be a totally unattractive thought but it fucking hurts!
Good luck to 10 Easy Wishes and the Little Kicks for their gigs.

Just found out we made it in as well! Sounds like we just missed out originally but got in as first reserve after a band dropped out. We are the Karim Touzani's of T Break!
Don't know if many folk would have heard of us but please lend some support anyway.

Not overly sure, would hazard a guess at 10ish perhaps. Doors are at 7pm with a couple of support bands first so maybe earlier if anything.
