  1. not at all, more fool people who sneer at those who want to part freely with their money for a product they value and will gain enjoyment from. just because you don't see the value in it doesn't mean others have the same view. the frames are good quality and the pictures often capture a family at their best, having a good time and with good natural smiles. it's a style that's been widely copied by the majority of commercial portrait photographers because it's successful and people will pay for it.

i used to take photos for venture, most fun job i've ever had and i still hear from customers i photographed who absolutely love their pictures and the frames.

anyhoo, glad you've found a photographer. adam's a great photographer and shall do more than a good job for you.

I didn't mean to cause any offence if I have done so. In my opinion, Im not very keen on the photos taken by Venture and I think they are a bit too expensive. However, Im sure there's plenty of people who love the pictures they've had done there. Each to their own.

I'd rather support a local photographer. Thanks, I'm sure he'll do a great job. Just hope the parentals like the idea!

Keep the suggestions coming folks. I'm hoping to have a few options. Cheers!

  2. I know they do a valet service on the first floor of the multi-storey car park at Union Square. I'm not sure if it'll be exactly what you are looking for but I know it does do carpets cleaned, etc. Doesn't look too pricey either.

  3. Also; I'm not a member of the Nash. I presume I can just rock up on the night with my passport and register there and then, aye?

Yeah you can, just need photo ID and you fill in a form with your details. They then take your picture and sort you out with a membership card.

  4. I haven't forgotten about this stuff guys, I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to shift it! I'm moving in the firt week in May so I'll arrange to get it moved by then. prob rent a van for a couple of days to do my moving.

Ok no worries, just give me a shout a few days before so we can get them emptied and shifted, ready for collection.

  5. Yeah, these days you have to watch when doing electrical work because if you get someone that isn't qualified/certified to do it, you can actually make your home insurance void. Not a well known fact but I was reading the small print and discovered this.

Yeah, he's a really nice bloke and he tidies up after himself! Which is always a bonus.

  6. We recently used K.F.Watson Electrical. We got the guy that owns the company, think it's quite a small company anyways. He was really good and not expensive compared to a lot of the others there are out there. When we used him, we only had to wait a day or two for him to be able to come round and do the job.

The number for him is 01224 566450.

  7. I checked my door handle 5 fucking times this morning just to confirm it was locked before I left for work. And just before I got to my car I decided I'd better go back just to make sure.

    OCD to the max.

Haha I do that too. Also, I have to check my straighteners are turned off like 4 or 5 times before I can leave the room.

  8. People at work who never tidy the fridge or put away their dishes.

This does my head in too. The minky bastards at my work are incapable of putting away their dishes and always leave food to go rotten in the fridge. Its rank. Most of them can't even wash cutlery and plates properly. You take them out of the cupboard and they are still covered in someone else's lunch. Yuck!
