That's rather nice. I can see many hours being wasted playing about with that

Cancer Bats supporting too.
Should be a corker. Barfly gig was excellent.
Funny that it seems to be their only Scottish date though.

I have just completed Kingdom Hearts 2 and would like to start playing the FF games. Which is the best to start with?
Just don't make the mistake I did and start with VIII.
There's so many concepts to get your head round when you first start FF games that the junctioning system just makes it damn confusing.
I'd say VII, IX or X.

I didn't want to complete it until I'd finished all the sidequests/got all the espers etc., but I finally gave in.
To be honest, I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game, but it was missing some essential FF ingredients, such as a good love storyline and death of a central character!
The espers were sadly below par and hardly even worth getting.
There aren't nearly as many sidequests as X (which I still haven't finished with- still to beat Penance), but I quite like the licence board system. It's not quite as good as the FFVII materia system, but it's a damn sight better than the junctioning in VIII and the sphere grids on X.
Also, there's no minigame (unless you count the hunting, which I don't) like the cardgames of VIII & IX and Blitzball in X.
I still have quite a few things to do and I'm not even close to having any of my characters hit a 9999 (despite being at Lvl 73)

completed it in 53 hours
was that hard to be honest, just kept doing random fights with tough monsters till my characters were up to level 50 and kicked everyones ass
the storyline was good and very different to the previous ones, along with the fighting style and i particularly liked the use of gambits as it helped with not having to deal with every abnormality a character got
as with any final fantasy game, i'd advise anyone to buy it
i've still got lots left to do with side line stories while will probably take me a good few more hours to do
I'm taking the meandering route. Exploring everywhere top to bottom and doing the sidequests as I go. I'm on Lvl 47, but I've still got LOADS of storyline to go.
I'm currently in the Feywood which is a right hoot.
Really enjoying the hunting, but disappointed there's no card games, ala XIII/IX

I just found a flyer of last years in my room. Damn that was a great ass.
I have the poster on my wall!

I've been staying away from this thread in case of spoilers, but I'm far enough through now that I thought I'd risk it.
Only managed to pick it up on Tuesday, but I've been playing it pretty much non-stop ever since.
I had reservations about the combat system but it's working out well so far.
Kind of a cross between FF Crystal Chronicles and Summoner.
Graphics are top notch, as to be expected.
I'm disappointed you can't name any of the characters though. That always brought some mild comic amusement to the game for me.
And they don't play the fight winning music enough.
I think that's enough for now.
