  1. Don't listen to them - download 'The Day The Sun Went Out' (which has just been re-issued) and the 'In Chrysalis' EP. Also' date=' 'After The Eulogy' is definately worth checking out.[/quote']

Oh surprise that you would say that. ;)

Seriously dont downnload anything from "the day the sun went out" because then you really will never listen again.

"...eulogy" is alright but "tomorrow comes today" is where its at.

  2. Righhhhtttt!

So, Scott. You think that johnathan just dreamt up that scenario with Martin? Cant really see it to be honest. i know johnathan and he never has a problem with ANYONE to the best of my knowledge AND what would be the point in making that up.

I cant believe this guy Martin is 20. His posts actually make him seem like he is 14. Im being serious. I disregarded the original post as i thought "ahh well, he is just a kid!"

If he did to me what he did to johnathan i'll knock him the fuck out!

  3. "not very good"?

    How?

Because it's not wank metal and doesn't sound like the rest of the piss that's been sitting around aberdeen and getting more stale by the day?

I'm not saying that all bands haven't mentioned are piss (I like a lor more bands than the ones I mentioned there) I just feel that these acts are slightly easier to get into. I'll give you that HG#1 are perhaps not a band a typical Joe and the street would enjoy or understand.

AKA the fox are very easy to enjoy' date=' nothing too bizarre or wanky... so you've lost me there.

Copy Haho are another band that I find a lot of people enjoy... so again... you lose me.

As for Les Yeux... it's synthy... it's poppy... again... I'm confused.

As for colonopenbracket... they are sitting with a tally over several thousand downloads and a fast growing following of people who are waiting for the live experience to unfold.

I'm not sure why you are against my choices. I thought I steered fairly well from bands who are very much an aquired taste. :)[/quote']

    Easy easy!!

Who said anything about "wank metal?"

Like i said...it was my opinion...you disagree, cool.

  4. Not hard to order Deftones records from best to worst:

    1 Adrenaline

    2 Around the Fur

    3 White Pony

4 Deftones (and that's only because I feel I HAVE to put it on the list, it's fairly dire in my opinion and I WAS a big fan)

I was DEFINATELY looking forward to this B-Sides record when I heard about it. PLEASE tell me it has their cover of 'No Ordinary Love' by Sade...It's astounding!

  5. not interested in putting this one on jamesy

this potential gig reeks of a scene/people battle. this one seems more about an petty arguement/idealogies than the music

    why not do it your...

im sure fudge would be glad to put something like this' date=' they like a good fight!:D[/quote']

You dont actually think there would be violence do you?

  6. Let me be the first to congratulate you on starting another patheticly retarded thread which will inevitably lead to a mass bitching fest.

    You're EXACTLY right.

Oh well' date=' here we go again...

Anyways bring on all the ace upcoming bands like Trivium and so forth..

You pretty much totally shot yourself in the foot there, up until mentioning "ace" and "Trivium" in the same breath, you were just stating your opinion on the - very young - crowd at Taste of Chaos, then you went and ruined it all by saying something stupid...or whatever that Sinatra guy was on about.

  7. I almost fell off my chair when I read that' date=' utterly insane idea.

    And yet, and yet.................[/quote']

And yet...You're a brainless moron with outdated elitist ideas that will choke the very "scene" they surround.

It's people like you with your elitism that are killing music...nothing else. Oh, and dont come at me with your "how am I killing music when i cooked for a band, put them up and made the flyers myself with different colour biros!" I dont care...you're full of it and you have nothing to be proud of. You just come accross as one of those sad types that ACTUALLY watch music channels begging for something they hate to come on so they can give their views on it.

    Twat!

  8. The running order should be... My Minds Weapon' date=' Spike Pile Driver and finally Ascension.

That way, everyone could hear the Weapon for the shit hot musicianship, go for a piss during spike's set, but still be able to have a laugh from Jakey and Hog's banter, but before Ascension even touch the stage everyone could leave to catch the bus/get a taxi, sorted!

    :rockon::band:[/quote']

    hahaha!

    Thats a superb post.

    haha!

I think this show should go ahead but i think MMW nowadays tend to not play locally much which, to be honest, is fair enough.

  9. Are you implying that a band is better if it's a major label band?

    Not at all!

Merely having a mild-mannered pop at Kirks view that he doesnt like any of the bands on the TOC bill except for Rise Against "even though they are on a major label now." (See the Diy/Crust thread on all music discussion.)

Oh and Lesley/Leslie, I always forget how you spell it: I agree to some extent BUT I think you're also a bit quick to make that statement. Im a fan of alot of the bands on Epitaph and know about the depth of their roster past and present but to say that about FFAF and SOTY is incorrect. Both bands influence can be felt already in music, escpecially FFAF in this country and also remember that these bands have both JUST put out only thier second long players so it will only increase for the time being.

  10. line-up is now Voodoo Glow Skulls' date=' The 44s, Misled Youth and The Upstarts.

For those that don't know, Misled Youth are an excellent melodic punk band with ska breakdowns. Like Fireapple Red meets RX Bandits.

This will be mega and anyone who goes to Taste of Chaos instead of this, really will miss out.[/quote']

oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, none of the bands at this show are on major labels so they must be better. huh Kirk?
