  1. hey,

We are looking for a new place to practice, as our current one isnt really suitable for us anymore.

Ideally we are looking for something like what we used to have - a lock up, which you pay for a whole day of use rather than a price per hour. Also, itd be good if it was reasonably close to the city centre.

Would any one be able to recommend anything decent?

    Thanks :)

    Steve

  7. Back2uni party @ Snafu (DHC) thursday

    Back to uni for everyone:s...

However on the bright side of things:

Parity's Fall + V for Victory play the Dirty Hearts club at Snafu this coming Thursday

    (28th).

    Parity's Fall

Consisting of a subtle mix of Lo-fi pop and alternative indie rock, Parity's Fall have continued to impress audiences of all sorts; from dedicated rock fans, to the casual music listener.

    V for Victory

A sound often loud, though sometimes quiet. A sound most times fast, but others slow. A sound always diverse, at least when not in the style of 'indie rock'. A sound that brought joy to all that heard it. Well, most.

    The Dirty Hearts Club

The Dirty Hearts Club is a new alternative indie-electro-rock night from Aberdeens sub level club venue, Snafu, which has already seen itself feature in NME.

    Bands on Stage 10:30pm

DJS playing the freshest hits from the current indie-pop-electro-rock scene 12:00am - 2am

  8. Hello there! Anyone interested in some new gear???

I've recently realised that my guitars lying around my house are no longer in use therefore is time for someone else to take them off my hands!

Fender stratocaster (made in mexico) with gig bag----200 (ONO)

Walden electro/acoustic guitar single cuttaway, with padded gig bag, excellent condition---180

digitech RP100 fx pedal (power supply not included)--- 40(ONO)

Jim Deacon les paul copy, with gig bag, good for starting out ---50

All these items are in excellent condition and are great instruments, i just don't seem to have the time to play them anymore.

Anyone interested then maybe pm me and let me know what you think.

    thanks.

  9. i think its quite strange how there is such massive debate taking place...

A number of local bands had the oppurtunity to play to a decent crowd in the tunnels, for no fee at all. 7 local bands took the oppurtunity. Turned out to be a good night, with both the bands and the crowd having fun:)

As far as im aware there were no negative consequences for any band/member of the crowd who played/attended the show...
