My band and I are looking to have some new tracks recorded, and were wondering if any one could recommend anywhere/anyone in/close to Aberdeen to have this done?

In the past we have recorded at Exile Studios (Torphins) and The Cottage Studio (Inverurie). Despite being reasonably satisfied with both of these places in the past, we are looking to try some where different. We dont really fancy Captain Toms.

Has any one had any good experiences, or does any one know of any private/home studios that would be interested in working with a band?

Yeah Its not something that I am planning on using long term though... Just something decent that I can use for gigs over the next 2 years. When I need something better I will hopefully sell it and buy something more substantial.

I have used both the hartke and Evo heads and remember quite liking the sound they gave. Could any one recommend an alternative (bearing in mind price range!)?

we bought one a while back and have been using to for DIY recordings, as it has 6 inputs and 2 phantom power for microphones! It has been really good. We even use it live for its reverb processor!

I bought it in R & B music for 85 so 50 off that website is alright!
