  1. History. Particularly the Dark Ages. I swear, I was born several centuries too late.
  2. Yeah, just re-iterating what people have said here. Sit down, try to talk to her. Try and find out why, as well as directing her towards the professionals. Be gentle, however. Given she's been at this for five years, I'd say that she will probably be relatively stable (as stable as one can be whilst drawing your own blood, anyway) so you don't want to tip the balance the wrong way.
  3. *bows* I am sometimes a fount of good advice. Sometimes.
  4. As a six year veteran of travelling Stagecoach buses, allow me to impart some advice. 1) Get the commuter cards, they generally work out cheaper if you're travelling every day and price changes won't hit you so hard. 2) Avoid obese people like the plague. Especially on warm days. Eww. 3) Avoid chavs like there is no tomorrow. Especially Fraserburgh chavs. They will grate on your nerves to the point where you want to stab them in the eyes with a screwdriver. Repeatedly. 4) Sit as far back as you can. It makes the ogling of women that little bit less obvious... I kid, I kid!
  5. Saturday, 6:30pm - Kung Fu Hustle @ the Vue. Wayhey! Saturday, 8:30ish onwards - getting muntered. Sunday, all day - recuperation and gaming.
  6. David Elsewhere, widely regarded as one of the best poplockers in the world. If not the galaxy!
  7. Don't feel too bad' date=' we eye up [i']everyone suspiciously. Apart from the hot women, who we just plain eye up. You're intruding on our game playing time, y'see.(Disclaimer: We don't actually play games in gamestation. We work very hard indeed, bringing in the cash for our company. Yessir, no game playing going on here. Move along.)
  8. Computer is under the stairs (Harry Potter style.. except it was his bed, not a computer under the stairs) and thus I can't quite reach my room from here. Soon, however, soon I shall be able to do both at the same time! Rah!
  9. No problem! Hmm... bed or music... bed or music... music wins!
  10. Here's a long one, and could be vaguely offensive to Irish folks. *takes a deep breath* One day, Mick is on top of the Empire State Building in New York. Unfortunately, his view is blocked by a thick layer of smog. Just as he's about to leave, two men approach him with a friendly nod. "How ya' doin', buddy?" the first announces in an American accent. "Oh, not too bad, altho' Oi'd be better if the view wasn't blocked by all this smog," Mick replied. "Yeh, I know what 'cha mean, buddy, but y'know, that smog is so thick that yeh can jump into it and bounce right back up," the American says. "Ach, ye be thinkin' that cos Oi'm Irish, I be believin' ye. Well, if it's so t'ick, how abouts ya jump off and prove it?" Mick replies, thinking that he has the American cornered. "Fair enough," the American says, and climbs the fence and leaps off into the smog below. Seconds later, he bounces back up and lands next to Mick. "Jesus and begorrah," Mick says, astounded, "Do it again!" And so, the American repeats his feat. Mick blinks for a couple of seconds and then nods. "Well, seein' has teh be believin'," and he climbs the fence and launches himself off of the building, hurtling through the smog and smashing into a bloody pulp on the pavement below. Back on the top of the Empire State building, the American who hadn't said anything turned to the other. "You know something, Superman, sometimes you're a real bastard." Edit: My attempt at typing accents SUCKS.
  11. YGW: I'm a dude, not a leader of prostitutes. Heeeeey... I've got an idea... Penny: EG is to see how badly my heart is enlarged. Either congenital or more likely 'cos I'm a fat bastard who goes through periods of going "hmm, I should lift weights" or "hmm, I should go run until I pass out" and thus makes my heart work harder than it should. I'm going for the latter option.
  12. Michael Jackson - Dangerous. Oh, how my soul shall burn in Hell for that one. In my defence, I was young.
  13. Good for you! I've got an echocardiogram (on my heart, I'm not pregnant as being male would put paid to that... I think) today, so no, I'm not. However, come Saturday, the motley (gamestation) crue shall be getting muntered in your local Bassment and Moshulu. Look for the large group of drunken men spouting various arguments over the finer points of gaming. It'll be us. Should anyone wish to join us in our lively debates on various topics, merely announce your presence by shouting "STAAAAAAAHT!" loudly. This will herald the end of your initiation and the acceptance into our elite group. No point to this post whatsoever, but then the thread has no real point anyway. P.S: Beer is far superior to wine, but spirits beats all. Vive la drunkenness. Is that even a word? o.O
  14. The fight scenes were deliberately cut that way to make it seem more visceral and frightening, as it's supposed to convey the point of view of the bad guys. Apparently. Personal opinion; good movie. Far closer to the comics than the previous franchise. Batman / Bruce are two people to begin with, but you can see that he's beginning to merge, which leads on to him taking the first Robin under his wing. I've heard rumour another three movies are planned, but we'll see on that one. For playing such a well recognised character, I think Bale did okay for a first shot. I hope he fleshes out a bit more, acting wise, for the second movie.
  15. For Final Fantasy fans, check the FF7 technical demo for the PS3. It is veritably the dog's dangly bits, although they've refuted claims that it shall be ported onto the next-gen console. Yet another reason to hate Sony. Xbox 360 for teh win!
  16. Where are you? I know you're here because you repped me. Show thyself, or be licked at the next staff night out!
  17. Assuming that I'm right in thinking that the Palace is now Liquid, I find it humourous that the two seem to have swapped roles. However, it seems there are far more chavs in Liquid than there was at the Zuu. I base this comparison on the fact that I've been in both places twice and never returned. Thank God.
  18. Ah, nostalgia. Offspring were the first live gig I attended. Fond memories.
