  1. Hey,

I have to do a stupid coursework project for uni. It's a database in MS Access that is supposed to be based on a bookshop.

My problem is this: i've created a form that runs a search on the tables by using a query. The criteria line I'm using in the query is:

    [Forms]![staffBookSearch]![WhatAuthor] Or [Forms]![staffBookSearch]![WhatAuthor] is Null

I'm now trying to add a wildcard so that if, when searching, the DB user only knows part of an author's name, all the search results will still appear.

Can someone please help? I can't seem to get "*" to work.. and i've looked at so many online help forums.. and can't find anything to work.

    Thanks

  2. I wouldn't recommend The Garage.. I've never had particularly great nights there. Nice n' Sleazys is alright, King Tuts is good, Firewater is ok, ABC can be good.. generally when there are a few of you, The Arches..

Probably best to take a wonder down Sauchiehall Street and see what takes your fancy. Masses of places, bound to be something for everyone.

  3. I'd phone up some hotels - preferably smaller or family run hotels I'd say - and ask if they're looking for KPs. Also, you might find with hotels you could do the odd bit of room cleaning for extra cash.

My first job was KPing at a hotel when I was 15. I went on to do waitressing and glass collecting for them when I turned 16.

  4. Is one of them bald and in the show they listen in to what they are saying about the house?

Spotted the bald one on tv about stuff caught on cctv camera.

    Cheesy stuff.

:moody: Camie, Camie, Camie.. How could you get - the legend that is - Dominic Littlewood muddled up with those two pillocks.

  5. To be totally honest, I didn't think much of the book. In fairness the story line was alright.. but the actual writing style was nothing special - presumably because of the translation. None-the-less, I'll probably go and see the film through curiousity.

  6. Here's my problem.. I have a sony mp3 player so I use SonicStage. I recently had to swap computers so i now have my old hard drive in a cradle, acting as an External USB drive. Because the computers are different, the old drive can only be accessed on this computer via USB, but because of SonicStage's stupid security, it's saying i can't access the music on my old drive since it was originally downloaded on to a different computer.

Can anyone suggest a way i might be able to boot my old drive on my new computer? I've tried shuffling the order of bootup in BIOS but it comes up with errors if I select USB and says to make sure the drive is configured properly and I don't know anyone with the same model as my old laptop.. Help please!

P.s - if that actually makes any sense to anyone i'll be amazed. I got lost myself..
