  1. Their last ever gig? Will they be back with a new line up?
  2. Funny - i just checked that tonight - no line up on the website as yet.
  3. This would be awesome but it would have its risk - Im fairly sure Acid Mother Temple made a fair loss when they played the Tunnels (thats my speculation though, not fact). I think The Tunnels is the ideal venue for it though. I'd go and see it - I lived in Osaka for 6 months and they are huge heros of the record shops I used to frequent there.
  4. I just got told this has sold out from my sister - me and about 10 friends were gonna pay at the door - does anyone know if it has sold out? I tried calling the venue but got no reply.
  5. Well that was about the worst performance I have ever seen. Thought my old man was gonna go for him at one point. Some folk manage to put on a show even when pished but that was woeful. Total fucking disgrace.
  6. Neils Children are great - well worth checking out. The Horrors have great taste in music but make a rubbish noise themselves - they have covered some ace songs - the Syndicats Crawdaddy Simone for one - but everytime they make a mess of it and it sounds rather limp-wristed.
  7. The Louie rule. Mainstays of the the Aberdeen music scene for 10 years nearly they always seem to get over looked. They are the Brian Grant of Aberdeen Music.
  8. Let me know what's left before you take it to the tip Hen! I could do with some new toys!
  9. But why? Johnny Cash is perhap the single most over-rated artist of all-time with the lowest good song to shit song ratio ever recorded...
  10. I would like to add that despite me being 50% of The Gun Club DJ's and the booker of the majority of the headline acts in the original Gun Clubs, I have no involvement in this event, or indeed any knowledge of it until today. I was very proud of our night and this new night has left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth at the moment. I look forward to hearing from the organisers of this event asap.
  11. What we got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach...
  12. You like this - and this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz4J47M5no8 and this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t76RPiUITQ Then PM me - Bass player and 2nd Guitar sorted.
  13. Yes - UK Paybacks used to cover My Flash On You - seems like a good reason for a re-union if people can get organised.
  14. Arthur was one of the greats. He will be missed.
  15. Good Night - Stonehaven - great place for a night out!
  16. No idea who she is - and cant seem to find any of her stuff on vinyl either - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07JWEarU7Bk&NR - also good! I am also drunk
  17. Well good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgXUctWDF34&search=Camille%20Ta%20Douleur
  18. I was just thinking yesterday, "that burd from Delgados is a great singfer, I wonder what shes up to now". Bricolage are good too, though I hope Orange Juice are getting some royalties...
  19. Paper Tiger is almost an definetley a re-working of Serge Gainsbourgs Melody Nelson track - I was surprised he didnt get a credit on it - it too is my favourite track.
  20. Guero is good -some great moments but typically some weaker ones too.
  21. After 4 years this has finally come out on vinyl.... It is magnificent - a truly beautiful record and arguably Becks best. I loved Mutations and this is a huge leap forward from that, with a fair bit of influence from Serge Gainsbourg. When I worked in a record shop, we only sold about 3 copies of this on release but this is Beck's best work so far in my opinion. Why did it take so long to get a vinyl release?? Who knows. Any one else care to comment/give a shit?
  22. Cheers folks - Thanks for the advice - off to try and sort it now - eep!
