  1. tell me about it.

Hubby came back from paying some bills yesterday quering a 118 bill charged to us by my network. I went online and looked at my bill, and imagine my rage :swearing: to find that when I downloaded a ringtone in January from Jamster, they after that sent me texts that unknown to me at the time, were costing me, not the sender (Jamster). Back in Feb it got so bad with the messages, I hunted high and low in my house for the Jamster number so I could call as the STOP message was not working when I kept sending it to them. After a terse call, they stopped for both my daughter and I (who had not order anything from Jamster, but somehow they still got her number, even though she is 14 and its illegal to solicted to minors).

Yesterday my bill showed the costs of their text charging!

    :swearing:

If I could of got my hands on one of the scammers from Jamster, I'd rung their neck.

    Anyhoo,

I've gone to the site link you've left and will be following their instructions to get a refund for the cost of these messages.

I think what is really the worst fraud is they don't tell you in any of the messages you're being charged for the message and if like me you pay monthly well you find out the short sharp way when you get your bill and see the huge amount of costs (2.55 per text).

Thanks for leaving the link, now I feel at least I can get refunded the money whereas yesterday I was having a "I hate Jamster" rant and not feeling any better for it.

Really bizarre to see this thread here, like its fate.

    Thanks. :D

    Take care,

    Bobbie

  2. The Moorings had a hip/hop band up .....

When playing at the Moorings there was a band called "Silence in the Streets", and they really rocked the pub. Had people up and getting wild, and all for a bit of rap combo hip/hop.

I was pretty much taken aback cause it was unexpected, but it was so cool and the place really rocked. Next time they are up this way, I'll give ya a shout.

    take care,

    Bobbie

Look' date=' I'm not ignorant. Like I say I didn't grow up in Aberdeen. Now, when I say nobody I personally know listens to rap I really mean NOBODY. I've met a couple of randoms who listened to it and thats about it. From my perspective, rap might as well be something they listen to over in America and Americanised parts of England.

I've made a point of listening to other forms of music and since coming to Aberdeen I've had the privilage of listening to Classical, Jazz, Blues, Indie, 'Progressive', punk, thrash, acoustic, techno, and a few bands I wouldn't know how to class besides the normal classic/hard rock and metal bands. This city indeed has a great music scene, we're even luckier than places like Edinburgh up here. That being said, I've never seen a hip hop night at drummonds or drakes or the tunnels. I dunno, maybe there has been, just saying I aint never seen it. For all the indie, rock, metal, hardcore, alternative, ska, punk bands etc I see advertised for those venues I'm not seeing a lot of hip hop nights.[/quote']

  3. when will this be?

Pretty amazing. I wonder if his new stuff is any good though?

I liked him at the time, but after so many present day rappers i.e. Jay Z I'm kind of spoiled.

    Bobbie

i heard about it on Friday night' date=' Ross was hinting at a rapper from the 90's who was on the farm, took the person that told me a few mins to click.[/quote']

  8. Just to clear things up

    WTF?

We've been busy recruiting a new guitarist, so I've just been given the heads up about this thread today and I must say, WTF? So, to be clear it isn't Identity, but I'd be interested in reading who it is but assuming its Identity is really off the mark.

    Take care,

    Bobbie

considering the good feedback they've had on this site and the fact that they actively use the site to ask promoters for gigs I would say that's highly unlikely.
  9. Thanks.

    best to ya,

    Bobbie

At the very least they are gracious enough to accept advice etc from those with more experience' date=' when offered with goodwill(J - Lucifer) of course, as opposed to the usual "you are shit, here's what you should do!" type.

"Drop the insane monkey-drummer beat, pull out the talkbox and hit it with a goofy splurge of Run-DMC, Prince and LCD Soundsystem. Hey presto: a funkadelic plastic explosive for any dancefloor worthy of its neon sweatbands." ~ Louis Pattison - NME

There will be a local support on this from what I can gather.... So if you are funky / 80s synth / all about the ass shaking...... drop me a note..... ross*@*moshulu.net

    Best to yas

We have decided to change our name. Basically to get away from the pre-conception that we are an indie band... and for a fresh start in general really.

Cleartone shall be known from this day forth as:

    The Midnight Noise Collective

You can still get updates just now at:

    www.purevolume.com/cleartone

    www.purevolume.com/themidnightnoisecollective (Currently awaiting approval)

The new website is currently under construction' date=' but will eventually be found at www.midnightnoise.com

We shall be keeping a few old tunes, but we are currently writing a completely new set of material... Hopefully the debut will be Friday 8th April at Kef...

    TMNC over and out

  13. Good track

I liked the guitar sounds and it was a really relaxing song.

    Good chill out music.

    Take care,

    Bobbie

Someone listen to this new track? The one in question being 'Sunday.' - made yesterday.

I know the guitar solo sounds shitty' date=' I couldn't be arsed re-doing it.
