Woah.. argh... me too.. it's so horrible. And every time I mention it people think I'm a weirdy beardy nonsensical phobiac! Man..
-
tiny dark spaces like say' date=' beeswax (where the 'walls' are really thin and the spaces between quite small) also creep me out a fair bit![/quote']
Ahhhh!!! That's my one! I don't know anybody else who gets weirded out by that! Do you mean like on a boiled sweet that you suck for a long time, or when you eat an orange so you bite the cylindricalish shapes in half sideways (if you see what I mean) and then kind of pull it open a little? Or when a piece of paper is folded in your pocket for a long time and the crease gets so worn that it gets tiny holes in it? Or like those bastard barnacles?!
Wuhhh
-
My childhood phobia was looking at myself in mirrors at night.. still scares me sometimes,
but my Main Phobia is of barnacles. God damn.. those things freak me out.

it's not like they can ACTUALLY prove you're not sick' date=' i mean, say that you were refused a holiday and then were genuinely ill on the day you were meant to be off, it's not like you'd come in then just to avoid suspicion.[/quote']
Yeah, but do they not call your house if you say you're sick? Asda does, they're pretty hardcore.
Maybe you could do an extra shift the day before instead ?( If not I'd say just go and then argue your case as well as you can when you go back in. Or don't mention it and feign ignorance.

Ten times super fantastic

I think it could go either way, but I really really hope Liverpool can get this one. Fingers crossed

i know how you feel i myself have the unfortunate job of working on a checkout
I'm sure that IS pretty boring... but it's so much worse stacking shelves! I mean.. having to actually lift stuff and carry it and all that.. but more annoyingly' date=' [i']constantly having to move out of people's way when they want and them not moving out of the way when you want. And I'm not old enough to work in the alcohol section which is the only place the hotties actually go, so I never even get a distraction like that - only old ladies wanting to know whether we have any more carpet cleaner. Superlame.

Mellotron
"They're an absolute cunt to maintain in a usable condition, but what else can make that delicious, dreamy sound?"
It's so true... The Mellotron is like the Angel Delight of the musical world (in that it's dreamy and delicious.. not in that it's hard to maintain, particularly). I spoke to Thijs van Leer about them when Focus came to Aberdeen but I can't remember what he said because I was struggling with star struckness.
As for songs, Kites by Simon Dupree and Entangled by Genesis are both great.. gotta love some of the Rick Wakeman stuff too.

At the newer end of the market the Korg CX-3 is an incredible good rock organ.
That thing is the sexiest keyboard on the market With Nord Electros a close second...
About models.. I don't really know about one that cheap, unless you do the software stuff because master keyboards are really cheap. If you want to get lots of sounds then you should probably look for a workstation of some sort, but it might be cooler to find something obscure with more limited sounds and just mess about with it like Marillionboy said. I got a Roland XP50 workstation off ebay for 300, check as often as you can because there are quite a lot of good things on buy it now that get sold on the first day they're up.

Just so you can match a model name to a description and stuff

They played ELP?
-
Peter Gabriel - vocals and flute
Greg Lake - bass and vocals
Steve Howe - guitar
Keith Emerson (Or maybe Tony Banks..) - keyboards.
Someone... - drums
It would be okay as long as they took turns at being the centre of attention ?(

Meh.. didn't get very far with Help. I should really get Word and Excel and Powerpoint and all that again some time.
BUT for now it doesn't matter because I've right this minute finished - 2495 words with adequate tables/graphs, and a jolly good thing too, seeing as it's getting sent off at 3.30.
Thanks for replying Rico

Hey, does anyone know how to merge cells in MS Works Spreadsheet? I think there's a merge tool on Excel but I don't have it any more

Some psychy type band covered that song that goes "My baby, she wrote me a letter" which is pretty good.
Tomorrow's cover of Strawberry Fields Forever is cool too although they didn't change it much.
