    You say Fender screwhole arrangement, this varies from series to series and from year to year even for the same series. :up:

    whit! Well I know the screw holes don't line up to quality strats like squires affinity's and Jim deacons thats why it never got used. I simply google imaged "fender american strat" and "fender mexican strat" and the pics looked to have the holes in the right place!

    Precision engineering - thats what I'm about! :up:

    Ah fuck, i read it wrong, i knew it sounded too good to be true.

    yeah, just to confirm I don't have the rest of the HSS strat, just a scratch plate!

    I could mabe sell it as an "unfinished custom HSS strat project, requiring completion" good starting point for the budding DIY guitar builder!

    White strat scratch plate, bought many moons ago but never used, still has clear plastic covering on it.

    Bridge humbucker and 2 Single Coils configuration. Screw holes to Fender spec. Has a foil screen on the back. White/black/white ply construction.

    Unsure of manufacturer, but probably from Bruce Millers or RnB.

    My poor note taking and memory....and inability to remember I have a poor memory which would be solved by taking better notes...in meetings. Had a meeting two weeks ago and went over my notes to get things done and it's just not ringing any bells. Also my bad handwriting.

    ..which is the right answer. There's usually at service stopping here at ten to 4, but it's being run non-stop from Montrose (it's running late, natch), and there's no mention of that on ScotFail, NRE, or anywhere else unless you were to a) run the search from Mo-town, or more likely, b) go down to the station and watch it fly past you when you expect it to stop.

    PS; I know we might be just a bunch of inbreds who still play Combine Harvester as a love song on the Royal jukey, but come on......

    i share your pain, your average twat can post up to the minute details of their daily activities (or lack of) on facebook/twatter for all the planet to see but a large transport company with its own website and specific LIVE journey information page can't tell people where they trains are!!

    The cheerful jovial messages in so many christmas songs, Slade's 'Merry Christmas Everybody' is really grinding my gears this year.... Noddy Holder assuming 'Everybody's Having Fun'. Think the homeless and people stuck in hospital or with a terminal illness might have something to say about that Holder. Still you must enjoy the royalty cheque each year to help top up your pension!

    I just realised the other day I haven't heard this song played once this christmas! o_O i must be living in a hole or something!

    I've used general purpose wood glue to cover a guitar and an amp cab but I was using denim instead of tolex. I've not had anything coming off and its years since I did it. The same glue worked pretty well with a tolex like covering I put on a pedal board.

    Make sure it drys clear.

    Main advantages for me really are not getting tangled up (because I'm a fucking idiot who actually does get tangled up in his own guitar lead) and never being at risk of accidentally unplugging your guitar.

    the disadvantage though is that if you're a slack bastard you may find the battery for your transmitter runs out during a gig, although I can't decide if I felt like more of a dickhole then or on the occasions when I kick my lead out from my amp...

    I'd recommend wrapping your lead through a handle on your amp and through your guitar strap, then when you pull on you lead you either fall flat on you face or your amp fall's over in true twat style!! :up:

    Yep - not sure that is the right term for it - but it sounded right. Apparently you need some gear to do it right.

    edit: I never realised there was a correct pickup heght, I've always just set them to preference in terms of the output or postition. I burried the pickups on my burns to make them flush with the scratch plate as I kept hitting them with the pick and causing pops/clicks. The thing still sounds the same, maybe there is a fraction less output but nothing that I can hear, I definatly not having to increase the volume on my amps.

    This week I am mostly hating people not clearing a foot of snow off their car roofs and bonnets.

    And people driving really really slow and bumper to bumper in the snow, if the first car stops they will still cause a pile up as they are so close together!! cunts!! :up:

    And generally any car on the road in front of me! X(
