Piss off, I buy every second cd I have on my computer and I'm not going to be made a criminal by some corporate bastard company that couldn't appreciate art to save itself.
-
Yeeessssss!
-
Utter madness. Hess was a fucking screw and those girls should be locked up.
-
If you were like me and didn't listen to the radio or watch television the world might just be a more comfortable place.
-
Who really cares? The Arctic Monkeys aren't too remarlkable a band anyway.

A call I got recently from a telesales person on behalf of Promotions Today.
Me: Hello
Man: Ah hello' date=' I'm looking for Jamie Lawrie.
Me: Sorry, he's not here anymore
Man: I'm looking for a , uhm, Jamie Lawrie. Is he available?
Me: Uhm.....not, sorry. He died last week.
Man: I'm sorry?
Me: He actally died last week. He's 6 feet under and won't be taking calls today
Man: I'm sorry to hear about that.
Me: Yeah, everyone here's still pretty hurt about it. Some sadness still around
Man: Well this offer is available to anyone in the household. Is there anyone else there that might be interested?
Is there any depth they don't sink to?
P.s. Jamie Lawrie is not dead. He's alive and well (probably)[/quote']
They probably have a scenario sheet that tells them what to say in that situation. I spit on those people.

The point is' date=' The Paddingtons are all over the press and in the charts when they are bland and uninspiring. It annoys me when there is so many better bands from the same city that people could be checking out like Freaks Union, Silence in the Streets, Fonda 500, Swordface...and recently The City Ghosts have totally blown me away and I think people should be listening to them instead.[/quote']
When you're honest you'll admit that you just constructed this point because you felt cornered by the fact that you didn't have a point in the first place.
-
Emo doesn't exist anymore.
-
I bought Franz Ferdinand 's latest album and I think it's fantastic.
-
This thread could have been productive if you used a word like "mediocre" but everyone knows that when you have so little substance for debate to begin with, you can never get anywhere. What's the point anyway?
-
If I quoted it it would spoil it entirely but it's good.
-
I quite liked it. Damn great that they played Molly's Lips as well.
-
And DAMN THOSE BODYROCKERS.

The Sugababes recent release was miserable. It epitomises all the distasteful sexual expression that I dislike about pop music. On a better note though the best single was definitely the Arcade Fire's Rebellion which has played relentlessly on my stereo whilst I crazily dance around.
-
Most of Modest Mouse's albums have been perfect, the Arcade Fire's Funeral is perfect, The Concretes self titled is perfect, The Libertines' two releases were perfect, OK Computer was perfect... for myself and maybe just myself. A lot of things were perfect for a lot of different people and I hate those bastards who always cling on to to those precious years circa Pink Floyd and all and won't relent that maybe some new bands are worth a damn. I never enjoyed Pink Floyd. Go figure. I liked the Velvet Underground and the Beatles but I never liked Pink Floyd. You think maybe it's time to admit that maybe some people just have different music tastes and stop being such an unrelenting fascist?
-
Fascists.

In all honesty the film only appealed to me on one very basic level: of love and integrity. I suppose the film had a few things to offer in terms of morality and facing up to demons but it was really quote mediocre in retrospect. Viggo Mortenson portays vacuous charcater, vacuous character pretends to have hidden depth and then vacuous character becomes basis of intricate plot. Pretty unorginal if you ask me. I suppose in it's understated form it is quite remarkable, but in being praised it is no more potent than any of the two hundred other similar films. Shite.

Film Studies and Philosophy at Aberdeen Uni. Yarr. I see a lot of people are doing Film Studies... what's it like?

Who has time for this?

Balls of Steel is the most unfathomable bilge Channel 4 have ever thought worthy of televising.
-
42%. I don't know why I should be offended or even take the result remotely seriously as no-one seems to know what emo even is. Enough questions about glasses though; whatever person thinks they can typify a person's music taste with fashion preferences is living in a world gone topsy turvy, where the walls are made of candy and the sky filled with penguins.
-
How is it our money? Last I checked BB was broadcast on Channel 4 - not the BBC.
Of course all you poor suckers that vote and watch BB will be nicely filling up Channel 4's coffers with cash.
I meant the silly little people who make silly little telephone calls.

A glass of red wine, perhaps I'll be exciting and go for the 5.99.
