Respect to the man for saying it how it is ( in his opinion). If only more people would be as specific and stick to what they want it would mean a lot less unnecessary agro and time wastage. People just want to get on with their music and start a career and whereas it's important to compromise and consider other people's creative input, I think it's possible to compromise too much and get to a point where noone knows what the hell they wanted to play in the first place and everyone ends up in different places as to where they want to go with their music.

I am a 22 YO, male Vocalist who is seeking other musicians to start band. I want to create something new and original with many eclectic influences from classical through to heavy metal. Strong influences from bands such as Deftones, System Of A Down, Korn, Rammstein, Evanescence and many more. Also worth a listen to Queen Of The Damned soundtrack. Bear in mind that these are purely musical influences. Lyric and vocal-wise I'm looking at a sightly different approach. Members should be creative, talented, open-minded, funny (f**ked up is fine) and dedicated enough to work hard towards recording, getting agent and possible full-time music. Even if this means, jumping in a van, sleeping in the damned thing and touring here, there and everywhere. I want to eat, sleep and S**T our music!!!!!!!!!! Definately interested I am a male vocalist with a very large range in vocal skills. My influences are varied but certainly do not seem to clash with yours. I would like to create something heavily influenced by the Deftones. What experience have you so far also do you write your own stuff. I am at present working on several lyrics and like your self wanting to create an original sound. Take The 3 Korn tracks from Queen Of The Damned DVD. Add some Queen and Evanescence. Sound messed up? Good! Coz that's where you guys come in. I want to make something revolutionary not heard since the like of Queen. Something that will turn heads and make people say "Holy f**k!! What was that!!". Know what I mean? fair does heh guys thanks for the replies. Lyric-wise I'm not looking to replicate what the Calling or Nickelback have done. I have my own lyrics and my own imagination and it will be nothing like theirs. Though, you have to admit, Nickelbacks "Figured You Out" has some quite funny lyrics My vocal skills have been confirmed by some quite professionally recognised people and I have no doubt that I can sing anything that's put infront of me. I'm searching for musicians with the imagination and creativity to produce something new, fresh and that will, in a way, revolutionise the Classic/Metal genre. This I feel is the biggest challenge. Finding musicians open-minded enough to just give it a go. Who knows what sound will come out but I know without a doubt that I can hold up my end against pretty much anyone I've met so far vocally. If this sounds like I'm blowing my own trumpet then trust me, I'm not like that. Everyone who has ever heard me sing from friends to professional West End Musical Directors have agreed that I have one of the best voices they have ever heard. The only problem is, although I have the vocal ability to have an extremely sucessful career in Musical Theatre, it's not where my passion lies. What can I say, like you, I want to ROCK THE WORLD!!!
