thats a kick ass compliment
Yeh they're two of my favourite bands, and your sound is def. at least heading that way..
-
In my head they sounded like the bastard children of NOFX and Bouncing Souls. Obviously the female children..
And to me, that's a good sound. I quite liked Broken Sunshine when I saw them (many moons ago now).

10 an hour

Apparently, lego was also the source for most of the inspiration behind the Bible..

Neil, the default external.php only sends out the latest created threads. Which means that when an old thread is posted on, it doesn't make the list in the RSS feed. There is a mod for this, which is as simple as replacing the external.php file with a new one.

We'd both appreciate if you installed this

perfect, thanks Neil
(and I should have known that)

I was thinking along the lines of having live bookmarks in firefox to see which threads had been updated' date=' etc.[/quote']
This could be good
The tech members of SomethingAwful.com have made a great set of plugins for their forums, including a whole new menu for the browser...I'm sure we have enough technical knowledge in Aberdeen-Music user base to have some great firefox fun
-
yeh I would imagine so. it's also a great idea.
if I'm not mistaken there are RSS extensons for firefox...the two together could make a great Aberdeen-Music firefox plugin..
Edit: Sage RSS plugin...
Neil, you have to do an RSS feed of latest threads now
-
Will do. And yeh you're probably right..
cheers

Is there any chance of the reputation system being turned on, even for just a trial period? I know post counts have been turned off because of the shameless post bumping and competition it caused, but surely the reputation system would prompt decent posting from people?
Just a request

Good luck boys

I used info.php as the basis of my custom vBadvanced module. If you want a copy of it then just let me know.
I want a copy.
That was easy..PM or email?
( iamche@gmail.com )
thanks..

Yeh I saw it, which sent me on my quest trying to find the module...which I now see you made yourself
apparently using the info.php (from FC) you can also list the users online..which is what I'm playing with at the moment..
but yeh, good point about the resolution.

Have you thought about integrating the chat room more fully into the website, so it doesn't feel like you're *leaving* the site to use it?
I see you're using the vBAdvanced CMPS, and there is a module available to display the chat in an iframe, so that it will still look like part of the site.. Just thought it might be something to try.

What is it with guys and Depp?
I'm a Depp boy..

I like Spike... just because it reminds of some people I know
"Hey this is Brandon but my friends call me Spike now."
and then on the phone to his mum
"Mom, this is Spi, I mean Brandon."
So... Green Day, Glasgow SECC on Feb 10th.

I would guess around the 20 mark. Possibly as much as 30.
Who knows.
I'll be there, if circumstances permit.
