  1. For Vocoustics Piano night on Wednesday, a young and soulful singer Adele has been added to the bill. She is very good and sadly only playing 4 or 5 songs.

Starting from 9pm the order for night will be:

Steve, Adele, Kathryn and The Boy Lacks Patience to finish things off.

Staccato set have pulled out and been replaced by Lorenzo Snow Collective for Sunday night - I think Ill be along as the Zephyrs sound very good!

Kathryn Sawers - The Boy Lacks Patience - Steven Milne

    The Tunnels - Wednesday 7th September - 3 from 8pm

Kathryn Sawers is an intense yet unique and wonderful performer, similar to Tori Amos with the voice of Cerys Mathews, she is as brutal as she is angelic. Tender, stark and breathy vocals layered over the top of hauntingly beautiful piano, Kathryn always captures and holds the audiences' attention - quite possibly because they don't know what to make of her! Spellbinding!

With few recordings in the public domain and no website, email or mobile phone - I think she lives inside her piano with the pixies!

"Scary, but as special as buttons" IMP

The Boy Lacks Patience is Chris Murty, his piano and his talent - "I locked every door behind me / so that nothing could get up..."

Akin to Ben Folds in a tryst with Tori Amos with Beethoven providing the soundtrack, Chris writes and performs his own brand of quirky and idiosyncratic songs. Songs top heavy in originality, accompanied by a fantastic display of fingerwork on the keys and a distinctive voice - he is quite simply, very very good!

Chris recently won the Critical Choice competition on BBC Radio Scotland's Tom Morton Show and was then invited back to play a live session on the show. Music journalist Colin Somerville nominated him to win due to "pure originality", adding that his piece was: "...the most accomplished composition by some considerable distance that we've heard."

Steven Milne, lead singer and songwriter with the ever popular band The Little Kicks, will be playing a set of songs from his recently recorded solo E.P. In his own effortless yet deliberate style, here is your chance to see another side of Steve with a chilled piano set. He will have copies of it for sale on the night - fresh from the press!
