  4. please could someone tell me... does the guage of strings effect how loud/noticable finger tapping is i have a yamaha pacifica with guage 9 strings and it taps like a bitch its so good, however i also got an ibanez rg series with guage 10 and it doesnt really seem to sound as good when i tap. Like in solos when you start tapping it goes considerably quieter please cud sumone help me out with this before i go setting up my ibanez to take 9's only to find out it wont make a difference. scott

  8. i am selling my marshall amp it is about 1 year old the model is a G50R CD. it is only a 50 watt though, however it goes pretty loud as i used it for gigs and never really needed to go anywhere near the halfway mark on the volume control to be heard so it is a loud amp. also it comes with a footswitch for changing the channels between clean and distorted. because it is a marshall you can get a really good sound out if it if you know what you are looking for. i think i would be looking for around 160 for this amp
  9. this is for the electric guitar and it is a multi effect unit in very good conditiononly a year old, boxed and in great condition. these things cost around 70-80 brand new i am looking for offers around 45-50 pm me for more information. Scott

  11. well i guess we are gonna start with doing covers then hopefullly after we all have worked together for a while and got to know each other we can start to write our own material. i also think if you are a singer guitarist we wouldnt really need a keyboard what do you think because you could do some rythm playing.
  12. To start a new band I already have a drummer and myself on guitar would like to start a band to play in the styles of guns n roses aerosmith bon jovi etc plz get in touch if you are interested practice space is taken care of.

  15. yeah damn right it was an absoluteley awome show first gig ive been to where the crowd completely lost it four songs into the set and it went crazy specially down at the front i was crushed up against the barrier but it was all worth it wot u think of 3 white geezers?
  16. I used to use the dunlop tortex ones that are green but then i found the ibanez steve vai signature ones they are white and have a rough face for grip they are great.
  17. I am having a really bad luck spell with my equipment right now First i thought i would put new batteries in my wah so i dont have to plug it into the wall so i took the cover off and took out the old battery (great song by the way) only to find that the battery has got rusted to the wires and it's gonna be Friday until i get it back. I thought ok i can live without it for a while then today i went to tune my ibanez up and when i was removing the tuning nuts the nut covering the E and A strings sheared away so i cant tighten it and now it'll be the weekend before i can get a replacement so i cant play it or it'll go outta tune damn thing Floyd Roses's are a bloody annoying piece kit but they are brilliant so i can forgive it. P.S. i now have to practice on an old battered up Yamaha Pacifica not that thats bad as it is an ace guitar.
  18. who would be the ultimate band (dead or alive) i cant think as there are to many good people out there but one would be Axl Rose-Vocals John Bonham-Drums Ritchie Blackmore-Guitar Jon Lord-Keyboard Cliff Burton-Bass or Bon Jovi-Vocals Slash-guitar Brian May-Guitar Matt Sorum-Drums Flea-Bass
  19. yeah my list is always changing it's just these guys are my overall favourites but if your talking about riffs i think the best riffer in the world is Angus from ac/dc he comes up with rifffs as easy as finding grass in a field
