  1. I feel a bit bad now that everyone is criticising the vocals.

Adam can definitely sing, and sing well, there's no denying that. I once described his voice to Adam (Morrice/10EW) as being too "rich"...somewhat like a big chocolatey chocolate cake that you cant eat more than a slice of.

Don't worry, we won't getoffended by any criticism! Been doing this for far too long to start being precious. I love Adam's voice but I fully understand why some people won't. He gets compared to Jimi from Doves a lot, which I think is quite accurate.

His recent bout of laryngitis means that he still can't sing (and we have a gig on Friday). When his voice comes back, it might be deeper and more dramatic than ever!

  2. Thanks very much! Iain and I worked like trojans on the drum sound (we started with very different ideas of what sounds good) but I think we got there in the end.

Nobody is a bigger critic of Adam's voice than himself, but a level of 'drama' (for want of a better word) is inherent in being a baritone. Fragile just isn't in his range.

Glad that people seem to be diggin it! Keep on listening and commenting, folks.

  3. I think that suspending him in light of the public outcry is even more spineless than failing to sack him in the first place.

How this cunt can still be in employment is beyond me. Jim Jeffries made it pretty clear in his interview yesterday that he wanted rid of him

  4. Wow wow wow

That was a feast of meat like...I totally have the meat shakes and i think im on my 3rd heart attack of the day.....It was totally excellent in every way...Well not every way wish i hadnt taken the missus lol.....She had a few gripes here and there but meh what does she know....

If your a fan of mixed grills and the like this is the place for you...If you are a fan of the sunday dinner it isnt...My missus is the latter...

The steak is served and carved at your table and ive never really tried rare meat before as i like to totally kill all my beef as i cook it but wow.....Some was rare rare and some medium rare all was fab..Totally fab....It was so good im using words like "totally" and "fab"....

I even had the chicken heart's which tasted guess what..................................FAB..............................Totally didnt taste like i expected them to for offal they were bloody succulent...Course my missus had to try ruin it by making chicken noises and telling me i was sick...Untill i mentioned the rib she was chewing on is the bone that protects the heart so she started gurning again lol...

I was 68 for 2 adults and 1 child..Casey my 1 year old ate free.....And boy even she ate...The salad bar is pretty foriegn to me but hey nothing ventured nothing gained...Ilike to go to these places to experience new things and try new things...Not just grab the garlic bread and cheese balls like some did......They had this pork jerky looking stuff that looked like it was gonna snap ma teeth but no no it was so soft and succulent..

    9/10

And i only gave a 9 due to me nae being able to eat all 10 meats...think i maybe managed 8 maybe 9 i honestly lost count....

  5. When we got a flat together he had to declare it, lest they think having me in the casino might appear dodgy.

I barely play live anyway, so it aint a big deal. Miss the occasional late-night cash game and good Amstel on tap, though. Don't miss the bouncers.

  6. Always go into Hollister when you walk past. Always. It's fully of stupidly attractive lassies. They're probably dickheads but their skin looks nice.

There are countless better alternatives if you are interested in swatching teh muffterz

  7. Mods - sorry if this is in the wrong forum; couldnt decide if it is Music Discussion or General. Woteva.

OK I have a friend who is doing me a favour. In return, I have offered to help her out by finding her a good, cheap iPod equivalent and a site that easily enables her to purchase downloads and pop them onto the MP3 player.

I am the first to admit that I am a technotard, so I dont know if iTunes is usable without an iPod (ie. can you download music from iTunes and sync them to a different brand of MP3 player?). Let's say a 60 budget for the player - 8gig minimum. I have used this one and it impressed me:

So I am happy enough to recommend the MP3 player (although better suggestions are welcomed) but have no idea about a user-friendly, legal download site (isohunt etc is NOT an option for her).

    Thoughts?

  8. I suspect that, if we were to sell Fyvie for such a pittance, a lot of Dons fans would consider it the final straw. We had three talented, creative youngsters on our books last season, and Maguire and Aluko have already gone for buttons. If Fyvie were to be sold for anything less than 2mm, it would be an embarrassment and a scandalous bit of business. His talent and potential matches anything seen in this country in the last twenty years.

However, the Daily Ranger/Hunday Mail is an abomination of a "newspaper" and there are no quotes in the piece. Even though I have little faith in the Dons board, I would be astonihsed if the figures quoted were accurate.
