Picked mine up for just over 500 with new tubes.
Borrow Dan's.
When can we expect more Weapon?

Maxi, might be worth sticking it on the Basschat forums, reckon you'd sell it quite quickly and get your money no bother

Just bought a Peavey 6505

There are several items on that page, which one were you specifically referring to?

Haha.... EPIC!

My bass player had the B2RE, same idea in principle. It was a good amp. Did the job well. Sold it to a mate and it works well still. I think you can't go wrong with Ampeg. If you scour the market, you'll find an SVT 3Pro at a good price though.
My bass player got his SVT 4Pro for 599... it was ex display.

Cheers for taking a listen mate.
It was recorded at NS Productions with Nick. All Pod tones. The demo track, which you can only listen to when you buy it, was recorded by me and re-mixed/re-amped/mastered by Dan.

I think so yeah?

Hey guys,
You buy my band's EP for 1 from Bandcamp just now. It's got a few bonus extras not listed, but for a quid, you can't go wrong. Check it out!

Hey,
Just put a couple of tracks on our Myspace page. Let Go is going to be on our new EP which will be out at the end of July and the other is an oldie which we recorded on a drunken Sunday morning/afternoon.

The SL-X's are awesome. They get thrown into the "900's use diodes' category, but they have an all tube path like a DSL and an 800. My SL-X sounds significantly better than my mates DSL50

Hrm. I need to think about it. I haven't gotten the Blackberry yet, I might like it, but I guess I'm an Apple fiend. I should've just gotten an iPhone to start with. FML

Is there much difference between this and the 3GS? I don't get 3G up here anyway, but this interests me. I'm awaiting a Blackberry and plan on selling it when it arrives to get something else (it's an insurance replacement since my Android drowned in a car crash)
I am somewhat interested if you could hold out?

My mate has the AD30, good amp. I dunno what it'd be like for sludgy stuff. He's gigged with it and it was good. Anywhere with a PA will mic you up, but 30watts is still plenty loud for rehearsals.

Ach, none of you remember this. Where's Martin when you need him?

Who's wearing red today?

All my amps have been bought second (or third/fourth etc) hand and I've not had any issues. You might be unlucky and get a problem, but that's part and parcel of buying used gear.
As for amps, save up. 200 will not get you anywhere near to a good valve amp. If you can make do with what you've got just now, keep playing it and buy something worthwhile. Don't just splash 200 on something that you'll be wanting to upgrade in 12months time.
Second hand Marshall's are likely your best bet, DSL50 and JCM900 SL-X's are great amps. Stay away from the JCM900 Dual Reverbs though, not as good. The TSL's are pretty horrible also.
They've just brought out a 6505 combo, might be something to consider

Sweet man. Tomorrow is free listing day on eBay so I'll be firing it on there if I've had no offers.

Can't wait! Cheers for the tips on it
Erm, recording, all my recording money goes into the gear fund.
Plus, I sent my girlfriend to work in Amsterdam for a year. The pimp funds are rolling in!
