  1. Drumagog is drum trigger software. It's a plug in that you put on a channel, choose a sample (or a .gog) and it'll replace the original hit. So if you had a really crappy sounding snare, you can replace it with a nicer sounding one.

Slate Digital Trigger does that too. I've tried both and I find Trigger to be a better plug-in. Check it out.

I'm also in a place where I can't record drums. I usually just take my gear out to a rehearsal studio to record the drums and do everything else back here. It's a bit of a pain sometimes, but, it works out well.

  2. Yeah, the RME stuff is rather good. If I had the cash, I'd get the 8 input RME Preamp, but funds won't stretch that far. I'm just upgrading as I go. If I sell the Digi 002, I don't mind holding onto the Motu for a while longer. See how it goes.

Good to hear man. Looks like a nice place you've got. Wouldn't mind a proper look round next time I'm in Glasgow :)

  3. I don't exactly see your band lighting up the charts? Better if you stick to your light weight folk music, real ale, and beards!!

Uh oh... more facts being thrown about!

Do you find that being a dildo brings in the customers? Or is it a technique you've never really tried and you're hoping that it works?

I'm actually beginning to think you don't actually own a studio, you're just on here trolling. So far, so good :gringo:

  4. Knowing that we will get along with the engineer is a fundamental part of the recording process, so I suggest you spend a little time working on how to interact with people.

QFT! I'd hate to go somewhere and not feel at ease with the person recording my music. It may just be Kingbass' online persona that's talking on this forum, but if it's the medium that you're advertising your service on, you should still try and be a welcoming person. I'm not picking up that vibe at all.
