  1. Friends' date=' gotta tell you - I was at a few of his gigs back in the day when the album "L" came out and saw him tear it up with a Quad PA system for his guitar solo!!

I like dthe fact that his solos were very melodic, nothin to weird or highspeed but just about right. And is it any surprise that he is still going strong with the Drum n' Bass community, you just cant keep a good musician down!! Come out to OCEANROCK STUDIOS in aboyne - www.oceanrockstudios.co.uk and I will teach you how to play "Salmon Song" " Master Builder" and "Flying Teapot" Cheers! nathan

Very lucky of you! I'd love to see master builder/om riff live. I was born 30 years too late :(

I'd take you up on that offer of learning those songs, if i hadn't already devoted my life to being able to play steve hillage style. Plenty of delay normally does the trick!

  2. Yeah, i started my grammar career a bluesman. It wasn't long until those lunch time trips to bruce millers to speak to shawn would convert me into a Yes/Jethro Tull listening wizard!

But Mrs Weatherly was an awful, awful lady. None of the other teachers in the school actually liked her either.

Remember Mr May though? And Mr Hay?

It still amazes me to this day that Mr and Mrs Hay are actually married. Wha' happened?!

  3. i went to grammar 98 - 2004.

The last day of school, i decided to round the whole school playing some mellow slide guitar. I didn't get past the first corridor, as mr wilson came out of nowhere and took my guitar from me

Last day aswell. What a prick!

  4. That album and Rubycon are both good for that. You realise the rarity of meeting someone who listens to Tangerine Dream? I only know about a dozen people who've actually heard of them.

Ah, yes, Rubycon is also awesome for that. I'm sure there's a few of us around. . . :gringo:

Tangerine Dream could kick Kraftwerk's asses any day!

  5. Hmm, i'm currently exploring this band from Finland. If anyone here is into Ozric Tentacles or Ghost, i'd seriously recommend you check these guys out. Really space rocky stuff mixed with lots of electronic elements and middle eastern vibes. I only recently discovered them on progarchives.com but unfortunately can't find any of their albums anywhere. . .

If you want to check out their stuff, there are some great tracks available on their site.

Something different and really good, i'm sure there are some people on here who this type of stuff would go down well with

Hope you try it out and enjoy it!
