  1. Metallica are the equivalent of the big summer blockbuster of metal - no, they're not the best band in the world, but if you want to see the biggest, loudest, most dazzling show, no one can touch them.

Very much looking forward to the 26th!

  2. I concur, I thought both bands were pretty awesome, and FCM were both bored and boring.

The King Blues' newest record is an absolute peach like. "What if Punk Never Happened" is one of the best tunes I've heard in ages.

Indeed it was the Garage gig - but I was disappointed. The King Blues are so fantastic - and that night simply showed up how tame GA are.

  3. The Gaslight Anthem recently were a let down - possibly as they had to follow the awesome King Blues, and seemed pretty tame in comparison. The fact they all look like and dress like Gap models also prejudiced me against them.

The Hold Steady ages ago was a bit poor - I think I just noticed how annoying the frontman is, and since then I can hardly listen to the CDs.

  4. Managed to score some tickets, but had to pay for the fan club memebership. Still, it will be worth it for the look on my dad's face because he stupidly didn't go to see them during the Ballbreaker tour.

I went to see Dog Eat Dog, Dub War and Understand that night at the Garage. It was awesome and i don't regret it one bit.

  5. Beauty And The Beat by Edan

Best hip hop album of the millenium? Perfect from start to finish, the guy is a triple threat MC/DJ/producer, probably the best white rapper and the beats on this record are totally fresh while at the same time they sit perfectly beside classic rap tracks. Really heavy 60s/psych sound that doesn't ever seem gimmicky. Great guest spots too.

    I too love this record.
