  1. Gutter Twins - Debut on Subpop.

Greg Dulli from Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers and Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees/QOTSA colaboration. I've been waiting for this for ages and I think this will be the album of 2008 for me at least.

  2. Hello,

My friend NSS from the States is looking for a gig for his cover band Cheezy Money (other guys are local) on Saturday 2nd August 2008. I know it is way in advance but everyone is booking so far in advance these days.

Here's some songs from last year's set list: Feelin' Alright (Joe Cocker), We Gotta Get Out Of This Place (The Animals), Brown Eyed Girl (Vam Morrison), Don't Step On The Grass, Sam (Steppenwolf), I'm A Believer (The Monkees), Down Under (Men At Work), Here Comes The Rain Again (Eurythmics), What's Goin' On (Marvin Gaye), Little Wing (Jimi Hendrix), Mustang Sally (Wilson Picket), Purple Rain (Prince), It's All Over Now (Rolling Stones)

You can download the Cheezy Money live bootleg by going to Cheezy Money.

Please let me know if you can help out. They can play for 2-3 hours or happy to do a support slot.

    Cheers

    Greig

  3. Gutted about this news. I started going to the Lemon Tree when the Aberdeen Music scene was really exciting and the big bangs were being held at the Lemon Tree with the likes of The Dawntreaders, The Lorelei, Tinderbox, Atom Flask, Sunfish etc etc all playing. Have seen some excellent touring bands there, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, NME Brat Bus tour, Fugazi and been to some great club nights, Juice and Lowlife.

I have loved playing at the Lemon Tree in the past and Darth Elvis gig at Elvisness this year was probably one of the most fun gigs I've ever played.

I hope someone takes over the venue so it can remain a vital part of the local music scene and wish the best of luck to the staff!

  4. Hey folks,

Greig from Hidden Leaves here. We are a new band to Aberdeen formed about 4 months ago and have just recorded our first demo material with Mark Nicol at Exile Studios.

Just wondering if you could take a listen of the tunes and give us some honest feedback and thoughts on what we are doing.

    You can find us at

    MySpace.com - Hidden Leaves - Aberdeen, UK - Alternative / Rock / Experimental - www.myspace.com/hiddenleavesuk

    Appreciate your time and comments.

Will be playing our first dates in 2008.

    Cheers

    Greig
