    Singer (28) looking to form a melodic alternative/indie band writing original material. Ideally with other members who can sing well so we can work on harmonies etc.

    Influences include The A.M., The Shins, Joan as Police Woman, Jeff Buckley, Tim Buckley, Alice in Chains, Elliott Smith, Mark Lanegan, Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, Twilight Singers, Stevie Wonder, Peeping Tom amongst others.

    Today marks what would have been Jeff Buckley's 40th birthday.

    Grace is a classic album which will stand the test of time and My Sweetheart the Drunk was shaping up to be something truly special.

    Do you think Jeff would continue to release such amazing music time after time if he was still alive?

    Can't say I know much about Little Angels, I remember the name but that's about it. To be honest I don't know much about any of the bands that review compared them too except the Trews. I much prefer the faster, rockier ones than Lightsleeper and Autumn Red. Forty-Two is probably my favourite at the moment. Can't wait to see them live, they were pretty damn good "back in the day", I imagine they'll be exceptional after 3 years of full time music and extensive touring.

    AntiProduct is a rock 'n' roll band consisting of five people (three girls, two boys), born in four different countries, that cannot boast of sounding, being or looking like any other band... ever! Having released their second album, "MADE IN USA", they are garnering rave reviews from mags as diverse as Q, Spin, Big Cheese, and heavy metal heavyweight Kerrang!.

    Combining elements of punk, arena rock, metal, and hyperbolic radio friendly pop played with a nihilistic contempt for everything safe and average, AntiProduct is fast becoming one of the most talked about bands in the rock 'n' roll underground worldwide.     Band: To assemble or unite in a group, a band of outlaws.

    Perth/Dundee based 'Project Reno' is the brainchild of 4 individuals with very different musical backgrounds.

    Don- Drums (Radiotones), Craig - Guitar & Vocals (Tenesee Kait), Grant - Bass (Kessell Run) & Scott - Guitar & Vocals (Tenesee Kait & Boomhauer r.i.p.).

    All Fans of each others music we decided it could be fun to jam and see what might evolve. Mix Blues, Acoustic rock, Metal and the urge to always have the melodic vocal sitting at the top we give birth to a band called 'Project Reno'.

    With a few gigs now under our belt and a live demo showcasing our sound (hear above !!) 'Project Reno' are ready to step up a gear and rock into has many eardrums as possible.

    My Poetic Tragedy are a band based in Moray, North East of Scotland. Since forming late 2005 the band have already made and impact on the local music scene and have shared a stage with the likes of Paulo Nutini, The Grim Northern Social and many well known local bands.

    Since all band members are descendents of previous bands there is no lack of experience or musicianship and all the band consist on putting all they have into each song.

    Influences for the band come from the likes of Cave In, Straylight Run, Hell Is For Heros, The Ataris with older influences such as Pearl Jam, Bush, Silverchair & Idlewild

    They are all very good

    Other great local musicians include;

    Evelyn Glenny - percussion

    George Norval - guitar

    Dave Robets - Saxaphone

    Eric (really old guy who comes out with terrible jokes) - piano and keyboards

    There are a few other great musicians that I know of lecturing at Abedeen University and Aberdeen College.

    I probably mispelt a number of the names above.
