  1. i play bass guitar.

been playing for about a year and a half.

i own 1 bass, its a ventura, some old bass, ive never seen before. however im saving up for a fender jazz (if any one has one or knows any own that is selling a second one can you contact please!)

i play through an old peavey amp, its a MK III or something. nae bad

I use a boss blues driver pedal and a zoom pedal for volume and tuning and stuff.

  2. johnny winter is a great slide player.

i went along to a slide guitar class with my my guitar player friend for fun. It was quite interesting even though i play bass. The guy had a nice resonator guitar. I picked up a few things.

hmm, to do slide you really need to go into open tuning, i think it was open G they were using. low to high DGDGBD. I think jimmy page used that tuning quite alot. they also used open D tunning low to high DADF#AD. well thats all i know, heres a website that might help with tuning.http://www.strummeronline.com

    hope that helps for now

  3. right i just finished listening to classical thump' date=' i can say only one thing

WRAH i really would like to know hou does he do it.... and can any one explayn to me hw to do ghost notes on slap?

i think i am just too thick cuz i cant understand the wee book on slap i have[/quote']

on his website there is a lesson on how to play the first part of clasical thump. he thumps it, then thumps and hammer s it and then double thumps it. yea! to do the double thump you slap the open e string, hammer on the g (3rd fret) then pull your thumb back up to hit the G again. he dosent really slap like flea, its more like he hits downwards instead of slapping it head on. hhmm, hope that makes sense. theres a video on his site aswell.

to slap ghost notes i just mute the fretboard.
