And just because you don't like the look of a BC Rich, doesn't mean it's not a good guitar.
I think tele's look like shit, but that doesn't mean they're terrible.
I own a BC Rich Warlock, and although its my cheapest guitar, it plays really well.

It is a jackson DX10D, Hog.
Basically a super srat, but all black with a reverse headstock, floyd rose trem and shark fin fret inlays!
I'm putting some seymour duncan's in it too, and then it shall hopefully be sweet as fuck!
-
The title of my thread WAS an appalling joke....
-
The quality of a guitar is also relative to itself...
I recently brought my Jackson back from home and its action is too high and the intonation is slightly out.
Once I stick new strings on and get it setup, and will obviously play better than it did before.
I good guitar that badly needs to be set up will play and often sound worse than a less expensive guitar that has been set up well.

Ho ho ho!
Uh, yeah...Happy new year one and all, thats all I wanted to say.

I am trying my best to convince him to sample the delights of the moorings tomorrow, Flash!

Do you know what the line up and stage times are?
Its just it is also my mates 21st birthday that night and I wouldn't mind knowing what time I can get away etc!
Cheers

I reckon it would cost us about 150 per song - realistically. Maybe more depending on how anal every one is.
HOWEVER... a charity event plus a few other gigs plus 50 each would be about 600 before we start! (4 songs)
It would be awesome to do something that would sound AWESOME! (imagine 'broken alive')
-
WAIT!
How about an atom charity gig... All proceeds go towards atom being able to afford a really decent recording...
-
The mill sounds awesome. If we could afford it, it would rule!

I hate teles.
I would rather play a tennis racket.
-
I wouldn't neccessarily go for one.
Mine was around 250, made by Samson and still not all that great.
-
yeah Cammy, I know the above two.
Although the Kumoi scale is actually:
1, 2, b3, 5, 6
The Kumoi scale is cool although the Japanese Iwato scale, I prefer even more:
1, b2, 4, b5, 7

Dudes, do you have a pesky major seven chord that you just can't wail over?? Well worry no more, simply move down one semitone from that pesky contemplative bastard and rip with a few of yer favourite minor pentatonic licks.... bootiful!!!!
Don't ask me why.... i think its to do with catching some of the lydian tones or summat, if I could be arsed I'd work it out but I'm a wee bitty baked and I just canna be bithered, min.
I'll tell you why mr Mac:
Major 7th chords are the starting line for a lydian chord progression, however one semitone (or interval) down from that is the phrygian mode which is essentially the minor mode but with a flattened second, therefore all minor pentatonic licks will work over it.

Dmaj7/F# possibly, but it all depeds what you want the root note to be

I'm bored. Any bits of theory or chords that you have discovered/know/find interesting? Hmmmm....
here's an impossible-to-play but sounds ace chord:
e---5---
b---3---
g---6---
d---4---
a------
e------
Don't know it's exact name, but its an F#minor triad with an added 6th.
Fun.

Well, as it turns out I won't be in town on Friday, but have a great night!
Haha... Sorry, that was a reply to Mr Superterrorizer's post! (he asked who was in the band)
Cheers anyhow, and I love playing henry J's cos there is free food.

I hate to say it (being the world's biggest hater of tele's) but I actually quite like it - it looks really nice.
MMW were in the lock up yesterday, and I think it was Watson who said "Jamie has like 10 tele's now"
I said "What's the point in that, he can only watch one at once!"
It was so shit it was good.
But yeah, nice effort!

In Loaded, there is:
Niall - vocals
Hilly - bass
Spinky - drums (he lives in montrose)
Russell - guitar
(and me)
None of them post here except me though.

Actually 'retract' can mean to pull or draw back so technically if a thorn is stuck in something it CAN be retracted.

...but Loaded are playing Henry J Beans this friday.
Please come along as it is free to see and there is a free buffet.
Coolest member of Atom except for Rass, Mac, Len, Erskine or Joe?

Haha...yeah. I still get a bit confused in Virgin as they have moved the metal section again so I always end up walking about the store until I remember it's way up the back!
There's no decent new Cd's out the moment... So I bought a Kreator DVD from One Up. METAL!
