  1. oh come on, this is all media spin. Yes she said those things but do you for one second really think that the girl is a racist? She's a walking minority, her mum's a one armed lesbian with diminutive intelligence, her father died of a heroin overdose (in a kentucky fried chicken) was black. If anyone is going to be open to people with different backgrounds its her.

One thing she is though, is a silly little girl with no real sense of what's going on in the world, she didn't have a good upbringing, she doesn't think before she speaks and when kept in a confined space she allows petty little things to get to her.

Yes she was wrong to bully that girl, but none of her actions were ratially driven. The sad thing about this all is that most of the racism that has been seen has been from Danielle - yet another ignorant little girl.

If anyone can turn this around it is Jade Goody. It wasn't big, it wasn't clever, but I genuinely believe that this is not the end of things. Give it to the end of the year, she'll be an anti-bullying ambassador, she'll have another book in the works, and possibly the celebrity wedding of the year... with Shilpa Shetty as a bridesmaid.

  2. a good idea in theory but if you look at cliff's recent chart history the only time he ever gets near to the number one slot is during christmas. checking everyhit.com (yes i have bugger all better to do!) the last time cliff had a non xmas number one was the charidee version of 'living doll' with the young ones in 1986! discounting that you have to go as far back as 1979 for his last solo non xmas number one - we dont talk anymore which hit top spot in july of that year.

    coat got

if he re-released mistletoe and wine next february it'd go to number one.

i'd bet my soul on it.

  3. not being the musical lothario that cliff is, my opinion may not be as strongly as accepted as his... but, if all he is aiming for is a number on to get his record of each decade, then perhaps releasing yet another single the week before christmas isn't the best idea in the world.

if he just wants a number one then why doesn't he just release any odd dross a week when the charts are dead i.e. like february. Just have a look at the release schedule, pick a week where mcfly, westlife, take that or indeed "generic faceless dance act of the week" don't have anything out, and ta-dah there you go cliff.

  4. Good call, the current Monster Munch crisps are just too damn small.

I used to like Spiras, even though it was really just Dairy Milk chocolate with holes through it.

Does anybody else think it's strange how Walkers seemed to come from nowhere to dominate the crisp market seemingly overnight? Back in the day you didn't get Walkers, you had your Golden Wonder, your Tudor, your Smiths and your KP. Then at some point in the 90s Walkers turned up, turning the industry on it's head with it's revolutionary system of green bags for salt and vinegar and blue for cheese and onion.

Oh and I liked the salt and shake crisps, but they were a bit salty, especially the little blue ones. ;)

oh how i love the internet...

Many of Walkers brands were formerly branded under the Smiths Crisps name. This comes from the time when Walkers, Smiths and Tudor were the three main brands of Nabisco's UK snack division with Tudor being marketed mainly in the north of England and Walkers in the south. After the takeover by Pepsico the Tudor name was dropped and the Smiths brand has gradually been phased out in favour of Walkers.

  5. honeycomb yorkie's, the ones in the golden wrapper, and um bungo.

just thinking, perhaps the disappearance of um bungo is related to some form of U.N trade sanction enforced on the congo (or whatever it's called now)?

um bongo was relaunced last year as a chilled drink, it came in a plastic bottle.

still tasted the same. i think you can still get it in asda.

  6. ace, the chemistry tour was bloody amazing, they actually do know how to put a show on.

and surprisingly they actually do sing their tours live.

it's almost worth it purely to hear nadine do her irish rap thing,

support will no doubt be some sort of television band (x-factor rejects most likely) and a foreign girlband... i would hazard a guess at swedish this year.

  7. At least he's got a distinctive voice, well maybe not distinctive, but certainly shakey. It's all Jo Whiley's fault anyway, she really is to blame for a lot of things these days.

He's harmless though, he's kinda like a little puppy, with his funny hats (and possibly shiny pants) and his little curly hair.
