  1. hello Does anyone know somewhere in Aberdeen that does console repairs? Need to get them to have a look at a Wii that isn't accepting discs any more... ta Sam
  2. The Loving Kind was only good cause Pet Shop Boys wrote it
  3. I think I've finally reached the point where I enjoy being asked for id. Old-tastic.
  4. I will also be at the lemon tree, I will however be working rather than drinking and watching bands.
  5. Hey, can anyone help, I think it was on here a couple of years ago there was a link to a word and number puzzle game, where you had to find the answer and put it in the address bar to move onto the next page. There were pages that only appear when you highlighted selected words and things. I seem to remember people getting quite frustrated by it. I've tried searching for it, I know it'll be hidden down the back of the internet somewhere but I can't find it. Anyone remember and happen to have a link?
  6. I just bought a new red jumper! 6 years on and the slight obsession is still alive.
  7. My mum and dad are separated, and both decided it would be fun to spend christmas with me and my sisters... One told the other where to go, i.e. glasgow, the other went in a huff and went there, without speaking to me and said sisters, and then decided to fly abroad with one days warning whilst bitching about the other parent... Fun. Plus, the best christmas present I got was a compilation of swing music. Snooze.
  8. i believe that there will be a further standing allocation going on sale in a few weeks time... don't quote me on it. but i've heard tell.
  9. evolution? It's not entirely true, I was a short arse when I was there, still pretty much am.
  10. I heard some rumblings today about board members meetings. I think this could be a good thing, perhaps someone else might be taking over the running of the venue...
  11. It was so utterly dull tonight. Brian Friedman has turned it into the campest show ever, yes... even more than strictly come dancing. None of the contestants were particularly interesting, it's a sad day when Leona Lewis not only sang them off the stage but had more personality than the 12 acts put together. And she's still as dull as ditch water. Yawn. I've gonna go out and get drunk next weekend.
  12. Don't taint Kylie with that watered down piece of drivel. BIG DIFFERENCE. "I Believe" by and many others equally as dull or "I Believe In You" by AH-MAZE-ING Anyways... Girls Aloud's Biology is still the best pop song ever written.
  13. they announced another three dates for those of us lucky enough to get the email to choose from... Awfully excited. 'This dress is dry clean only Melanie.'
  14. All I have to say with regards the result is that Amy Winehouse deserved to win. I genuinely think the tabloid interest in her antics over the last few months blew her chances, the judges really couldn't discount the stigma attached to her. When people look back in 10, 50 or even 100 years, Back To Black will be the album that has lived on. It truly is an amazing piece of work. Klaxons; sure they are fun, I like their songs and drunkenly they are 'pumping tunes' so to speak, but an album with even one cover version on it should not be eligible for the Mercury Music Prize - let alone win it. Remembering the brief that the Mercury Music Prize is meant to reflect the best album musically for the year - the current year... not the 90's. Plus the original is genuinely about 17 times better.
  15. a hitman and her movie following the games' premise could be interesting...
  16. 'Caroline Is A Victim' is much better than 'Foundations', but since it was a little bit more out there than the middle of the road shit that she's had a hit with she's somehow managing to forget that she actually released it as her first single, so much so that it isn't going to be on the album either. Well done her, I hope she rots in the depths of the radio 2 playlist. (which is a pity cause I quite like radio 2 these days)
  17. Being the rather large John Waters fan that I am, I went to see it with slight trepidation. However, it was absolutely amazing. Genuinely one of the best films I've seen in quite some time. Queen Latifah completely stole the show, but yes. Amazing, go see it. You must.
