Well this is a bit pointless posting here Scorge but nevermind - we shall be doing a farewell, one last murder of all things maiden!

Soon, from the ashes, shall arise a new band however!

Me and Gregor (Metal Militia!) shall be on guitarwork, with scorgie as the skin basher!

It shall be mostly our own stuff that will be played - a kinda Iron Maiden does Power Metal type thing i guess thats the best way to describe it! We will also work with the odd Blind Guardian / HammerFall cover too so be prepared Aberdeen!

Ibanez...

Well now that I've got my new guitar (Ibanez RG1570LZB) I can now confirm that Ibanez, BY far kicks everyone's ass!!

My one is a prestige model (well theres not many L-H models anyways!) and the build quality is just phenomenal. It was made in Japan as opposed to Korea (I think this is where the other Ibanez'sa re made) and boy do those Japs know how to make a guitar!

Plays like an absolute dream and the set-up was pretty much perfect straight from the factory.

The bridge on it is also damn good, its not a Floyd Rose Orig, or a Schaler but I tell you it SHITS all over 99% of the Floyd Rose Licenced bridges out there (Jackson im looking at you!).

Finally, a picture: (I'm in love with this colour "Zinc Blue", much prefered over the Black!)

IF you go for something other than Ibanez, make sure you spend a little more cash and get a proper Floyd Rose Original trem.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get a Floyd Rose Licenced Trem...this will be the bane of your guitar playing life.

My bro has a Jackson with a Floyd Rose Licenced bridge and its like it was thrown together with some crap shovel in the depths of some Korean slave labour camp! The quality of the metal is shit, rusted all to shit, and it has been such a pain in the ass changing strings, etc, with its shoddy construction. He's going to get it fixed, possibly get a new trem system put in (a real Floyd Rose!) and thats not something you really want to do...

Ibanez stopped calling their Trem systems Floyd Rose Licenced a year or 2 ago because FR demanded too much money. So now what you have is a pretty damn good trem system - see here...

Could be some sort of built-in guitar / synth set up with all those switches and the batteries. Nice looking guitar though, def worth more than 50 i'd say.

Edge Pro bridge is really quite good - better than the shitty Floyd Rose Licenced ones.

Wizard neck - imho is the way all guitar necks should be! Its soo comfy and lightning quick too.

Is that one of the Prestige Ibanez RG's or not?? If not ... go for a Prestige one I'd say - the most expensive you can afford (I myself am getting the RG1570ZBL - yep thats L for Lefty freak!) which is the only one i can get Left Handed but it is a fantastic guitar... absolutely incredible.

But then i'm not a big fan of ESP to be honest... especially the LTD's.

Yes very probably, but it has not been discussed or anything! We will still be doing Maiden songs aswell, even if the amount that we do reduced somewhat, but we can't just go on doing Maiden covers forever!

So short answer, yes, unless anyone is particularly fond of the name Maiden Taiwan which I cant imagine being the case!

Its defiantely not Iron Maiden, but it's not Rhapsody either - it's a big mix of all the stuff i listen to I think.
